The Official Joker Costume Thread

The last 3 weeks he's been telling he should have something by "THAT" weekend, or the next Monday. It's really pushing it now. I called him the other day and he told me that they are rushed to get things out by Halloween and the confirmation number he thought was mine wasn't. So now I'm getting really concerned. Hopefully though, tomorrow he will have something for me. And he's right, at this point all we can do is wait for the numbers to come in from his shippers. But also, he needs to get a little more on top of it. We're running out of time here.

On another note, here is a sneak peak at my companions costume Anyone who is familiar with that costume can be assured the rest is there, just not pictured. Gotta wait until after Saturday for that.

And sweet costume, I'm not familiar with the character, but looks pretty accurate from the picture. My girl's dressing as Sally Jupiter (Silk Spectre I)

Same here. I have a contest on the 29th, but I've missed 3 other events this weekend that I really wanted to attend. I did go to one of them but not in costume - was the MTV Ulalume Festival.

The costume is Harley Quinn for the new Arkham Asylum game. She changed her appearance and it's debut was in the game. Pretty wild, and costly lol.

ahhh, so Quinn is the Joker's squeeze! Yea, definitely looks costly, but at the same time definitely worth it. I can't wait to play that game, I'm getting a PS3 soon, and I'm waiting till then to buy it so that I can play the Joker levels.

We originally were going with a custom TDK Harley that (forgot their name) someone designed. Was really cool and would of went perfect with my TDK Joker. We couldn't find the proper material so gave up and went with Poison Ivy... THEN I found someone who made the corset and I found a bunch of the other stuff on ebay, so I showed her and she agreed to wear it. Now a friend of ours is going to wear the Poison Ivy costume, so it works out.

Last year we had Joker (me), Batman (my son), Batgirl, Riddler, Robin (girl) and a little zombie hehe. Was hoping to get more Batman themed characters this year, but seems like we'll have the same amount and just different characters except for Joker of course. A friend who is wanting to be Black Mask may come with us, but still unsure if he will be or not.

however the sa lol ga of that is wrong isn't it all purple and red like halve purple cup and half red cup for bra
and red wrist guard on one and purple on another
and same with glove and stocking looks like you will have to get that down to a T for next year huh lol
sewing a bra one purple and one red together that would be cool anyways

Yes, it is Purple/Red in the game but we decided to stick with Harley's Black/Red and have it custom made in those colors.

Same here, that's why we went with it. She agreed the Black/Red was better also. I even tried to get her to wear Harley's regular outfit, but she literally hates it and wouldn't do it if I bought it lol.

The pics will be great! We may even enter the costume contest this Thursday as a couple, but it's iffy. I'd rather wait until my suit is complete with the proper vest and coat, but we'll see.

lol. But yeah, I guess you have to just be a fan and seeing colors change can throw the character off in my opinion. Like when Burton's Batman came out and costume went from Blue/Gray to Black. It was different, took some getting used to by some, but it worked. The change for the video game that Harley took going from Black/Red to Purple/Red just doesn't sit with me, so I recommended going with Black instead of the Purple and did up that pic replacing the colors. And it worked pretty good.

If we went with pure accuracy it would be cool, but still. Just that one thing that doesn't work... hehe.

The boots, I had to order her some thigh high boots from ebay, but the color seamstress who made the corset also custom made some boot covers. Since time was running out she mailed the rest first, but the covers should be here today with the mail and I'll have her test and try them out.

My Mother and Step-Dad hosted an art exhibition in his studio the night before, so I showed up like we all do. They were taking Halloween photos for people, and a couple asked if they could get their picture taken with me. Beforehand, I'd not pulled out the knife, so I thought it pertinent to ask "So, would you like a knife, or no?" The response was an enthusiastic "Oh God YES, knife!" So I held it to her throat and received squeals of joy.

Just thought I'd share.

Look at you stagger4x4J, giving out costume advice! Our baby is all grown up, I'm so proud!! The Harley costume looks golden, and will be a hit I'm sure!! I will say though that I think the red and black is a better color scheme than the red and purple.

A quick heads up, but Mike over at Bromley's just updated me that they got in some green diamond braces today. If anyone is still needing them, I'd suggest placing an order ASAP before they are gone. Might be good to look into express mail if needed by Halloween.

Yep...But still no mediums. I think my measurement is like 39 inches, to just right above "mu bellybutton hole". So the large would be to big. I'm sure they could proboly be adjusted...but I'd prefer to get the mediums. (Not to mention I don't even have my pants yet.) So that measurement might be diffrent.

I have the mediums but they also seem big. I guess it's just how they are adjusted really. Then again the pants being jacked up like that doesn't help the measurements of the actual length lol.

I'd think that the large would fit if adjusted properly, but would still be up to buyer in making that decision.
