GREAT NEWS! My vest and coat just arrived!!!! It seems that they may have been held up in customs because of the packaging and shipping address... but not sure. Anyways, the coat is great! The alterations I asked for were "mostly" done. Some things were left out but really nothing serious. The stitching was done, the lengths were fixed, shortened/extended. I even got the lining done thicker and the original salmon color I wanted.

The vest is great!!!! Fits like a glove. I'm loving the satin backing also. Pics to come... time to get started on weathering these bad boys pronto!

I have large braces and they are just fine. They have more than adequate adjustment in them.

My college campus just announced their Halloween party/costume contest for this Friday. They left a sign up sheet for the costume contest in the atrium and the first name on it was a guy named Tim dressing as... you guessed it... The Joker. I didn't have a chance to add my name to the list yet (gonna do it tomorrow) but I wonder what the talk will be when they see a girl's name on the list with THE JOKER listed as my costume. LOL

Here's hoping I can out-do the other Joker because we have a good cash prize and other goodies up for grabs!!!

A quick heads up, but Mike over at Bromley's just updated me that they got in some green diamond braces today. If anyone is still needing them, I'd suggest placing an order ASAP before they are gone. Might be good to look into express mail if needed by Halloween.

Thank you!! I already have the plain green for this year, but now I got my accurate ones for next year cause i just ordered 'em. And with all the sizing talk, I bought the size large because i'm tall so i thought i would need the extra length and they were quite adjustable, so medium or large shouldn't be too much of a difference.

Fingers crossed Stagger. If the worst comes to pass though, don't forget the suggestions of the folks on here. Get thee to Goodwill or another thrift store if you think you're otherwise stuck at home on Halloween. That's no fun! And you should definitely be able to get something together, probably for less than $10 bucks, from one of those stores. Just something to keep in mind!

Phizzle, very nice! Is the pinstripe part of the vest that light in color? Mabey they're being washed out, but I wish they were just a tab bit darker, they look AWSOME either way. I can't wait to place my order now for sure.

Today I helped the dude that's doing the Joker this Thursday. I ended up getting him a light blue shirt and black pinstripe pants from Sears, a Stafford tie from JCP, and a Tripp Joker coat from my closet, lol. He's also going to buy that green and black vest from HT. A good start. He's got a pair of crazy socks he can wear, which just leaves him mum on shoes, a blazer, and gloves. He thinks he may want to do this more later one, so it's a good base to have me thinks.

One thing about it though, I love doing costumes for me, and make-up for me, but I don't think it's for me as a profession. I like plotting things out realy carefully, and thinking about them,etc. I don't realy like having to explain things that I know are fact, and it just makes for a slightly confusing time when only I know what I'm talking about. As much as I love the Joker, and getting an opportunity to talk about it...There's just a point where I want to keep to myself about it sometimes.

have a question was gonna pactice my make up ok so first white while I scrunch my face then black then white again and followed by red

I scrunch up my face, apply the white in between me eyes and around them, do my forehead and ear area, then do the red, then apply the rest of the white, and then I finish up with the black.

ok but leave the eyes blank right dont cover eyes with white
and how do I get the stress lines black with pencil or paint brush i wanted the strees line with black because I scrunched up my face not after and follow lines

Whew, thank G-d (don't want to offend anyone)! I am very pleased, I was thinking I'd have to go around in the pants, tie, shirt and braces. lol. (*knocks on wood*). Plus the telesis 5 shipped today via express, so I should be in shape for the 30th.

Stagger, ya, just don't put any white on your eyes. I go all the way into my eyebrows with it though. Just go as far as you think you should. I use an orange stick to "drag" the black into the stree lines BTW. Works realt well and makes realy fine lines.

Kit, glad to hear dude, hope you get it all!

(And if you guys will excuse me, I have to go lay down...I'm Jokered out today, LOL! I've got an entire day tomorro for him, and then Friday and Saturday. I just hope I don't get burnt out this week!)

Stagger, good luck man. Customs can be a pain, so hopefully they understand the holiday rush on costumes and can get your stuff to you by Saturday. Wish you the best man. I'm still waiting on my gloves and a buddies mask, too.

Jodo, the X O line is a medium grey. The reflection of the light in the picture was from the sun beaming in my window so it gave off a brighter look, but it's good. The blue satin itself can appear lighter and darker than the one used on film it looks like, but it still works depending on the lighting.

Hi all!!

This is my first post...I stumbled across this site about 2 days ago. Where to begin??
I decided to be the Joker for Halloween exactly 1 month ago. I have been procuring things for my costume. I am doing some things a little different. My mom is making me a suede overcoat with orange lining...I can tell you that it is not 100% screen accurate but it looks absolutely stunning and feels amazing.

I just got finished doing a test makeup run. This is the first time I have ever tried doing anything as far as makeup goes for Joker. I want the makeup to look like the makeup from the interrogation scene. This makeup was thrown on in a semi-hurry. I didnt take a ton of time on details.

Now the things I know are wrong: way too white on bottom half of face and not enough white up top. The lipstick just plain SUCKS!! I realize this! I need some help here. What is the best way to make the red paint look good? Actually...all of the makeup for that matter...but specifically the red.

Also note the wig is not the one I will be wearing...waiting for min to arrive...it is much higher quality.

I want as much criticism/advice as you experts can dish out because I want this to look good...and damnit I WANT TO WIN THIS COSTUME CONTEST!!! lol...

First off what makeup are you using Rubies tube if so junk that trust me get mehron clown white will be the cheapest and good not like top shelf but oh well second get rigid collodion third I used regular red cake makeup they all have the passion red #49 maybeline like what was used in the movie will show pics when I get them uploaded oh ya and go to photobucket and post your pic url so we can see

Totaly unrelated.....But I have no idea how Heath hung upside down and didn't pass out. I got something called an inversion table here a few days ago, and as much as I love being upside down on it, talking and reciting lines isn't my favorite thing.
