the official late night with conan o'brien thread

Well even though it was a rerun I enjoyed the show (Conan's George Takei impression is shockingly good - oh to be his former roomate Jeff Garlin waking him up to hear it), but I have to wonder if the Late Night Offices ever got an upgrade. Conan shouldn't but he's got plenty of $$$ he can spare it. As long as the employees do all the work.
Perfect place to keep a Playboy.

Whenever I see that I'm still shocked that Tom Hanks is such a great guest.

Does anyone know if there is a reason Conan doesn't do monday shows?I personaly think it's to avoid ever having to be told "Looks like you've got a case of the mondays".It's what I'd do.:o

Yeah Dave did Monday shows in the 80s.

Well I guess budget would be the only reason. The Late Late Show does go M-F but perhaps the overall quality would be better if material for 5 shows was fit into 4 shows.

It does suck sometimes when you watch Leno, Dave & LLS with current guests and jokes and then turn on Conan and he's talking about John Kerry winning the primaries. They are great episodes but I wish NBC would have 5 shows a week. I think only rarely will they put out episodes on a Monday like if a holiday is during the week.

Nice to see the "I gonna go to hell when I die" song return.:D

Man,that Dan Aykroyd interview the other night may have been the worst interview I've ever seen. You could almost see the individual beads of sweat forming on Conan's face.

And am I the only one who found the Flaming Lips and their Spongebob song creepy as hell?

I had to leave the room because that song...it just wasn't.....right

Conzie is replaying every day on CNBC at 7. They're my new favorite channel.

That wasn't just me? At first I thought Dan was doing a bit, but as the interview went along it seems like he's just gone a little nutso.

Crap. I watch the bizarre Aykroyd interview and don't watch the Shatner one. Whathappened? Dan's had some funny lines but it was just ??? and bombed pretty often.

Shatner singing "the itsy bitsy spider" "shatner style" was pure gold..and then there's "gun totting, nascar driving Jesus":D

Shatner said that the guy who played Dr.Macoy(sp?) wouldn't speak to him for two years after he laughed at the curcumstances of his dog's death(he ran into a sprinkler head). Then he had a mini-mental breakdown, and started talking about how sexual singing on-stage is and getting crapped on by an elephant.

And my new favorite character,"Gun-totting,NASCAR driving Jesus",returned.....four times.

My new favorite song is "I'mma gonna go to Hell when I Die".

:D

And Reality Small Talk Moment was good but Canadian Small Talk Moment was funnier since it was just made up and hilarious while Reality was actually using the shows from the previous airings.Love the stares and you know when you see Max wearing a certain suit that Consie will mention it.

John Tess rolled up in a carpet....there aren't words to describe how funny that was...

Yeah, it was super creepy.

I TiVO'd that episode just because of that, I like the group, but hadn't heard that song....

Weird staging with that big clear ball, too.
