Ya it works for animated/cgi films fine. but with these hero films we want to have more time to get things developed more and see more out of the film. 2hrs is a nice place to put a film and i would go up to 2hr 20mins as i said before so you can give or take a few mins for things cut out and all that.

I know I'm really, REALLY late on this, but:

Could someone PM me the link?

Yup you must have not been around when the new rules from shh mods came out. They dont want use passing off/pming copyrighted scripts/etc....

Just to make sure I'm reading the right script, does the one you guys are talking about begin with:
"We begin...
IN GREEN. Vibrant, verdant. The longest, fastest continuous pullback ever begins. A steady VOICE accompanies us:"

i cant wait to see/learn how much changed from that leaked first draft to what ever draft number/shooting script is.

I bet it's alot better. The first draft was pretty solid, but with Campbell involved it can only get better.

Again, I think the script is a good foundation of what the story is all about.

They need to improve the dialog and jokes a bit.

If you guys have seen the leaked Iron Man 2 Comic Con footage, I'm still surprised how clever and witty the dialog was. Green Lantern needs to have clever writing, whether it's a dramatic line or a joke.

nope.

He's probably more of a consultant than anything else.

You can tell where Berlanti had his hand at writing. It's a good thing he's no longer directing.

Geoff did revised it. There's a post about it in this section.

Just don't wanna confuse anyone:

From what I know, he didn't go in and actual DIRECTLY rewrite anything. He probably read through the various drafts and took notes. Then he probably a number of meetings with the writers and so forth.

Yeah. He probably read the script and corrected them on things and then the filmmakers and writers took some of his ideas and translated it to how ir would work best on film.

Is this known for sure or are we all hoping that he changed some things. Then again weren't him morrison, and wolfman hired last fall, so they could have had plenty of time to make changes.

well only thing know is johns/wolfman/morrison is they been hired to work on upcoming dc films with officially johns working on a flash film as a producer/wrote a treatment. As for what else they are working on only time will tell.

Yeah, for some reason this forum gets pretty bland and dead after a while. Probably won't start up again until we hear more casting.

That is so true with alot of threads in many sections. When their is no solid news going and all the same speculation going on and on it doesnt get a big boring to still see the same old same old. Hopefully we will have leads/supporting actors soon.

after the leaked footage of Iron Man 2 came out, I liked how the humor still intergrated into the dialog, thus pushing the scene forward and letting the story progress naturally.

So I hoping that the 'humor' in Green Lantern can capture the same tone of playfulness without being too sitcom-like, which is what the first draft is filled with.

Agreed. And hopefully they don't try to copy IM's sense of humor. Atl east Reynolds is a capable comic and actor and unlike RDJ so that could help.
