Outside of Keke Palmer, I can't see anyone else in the role until Feige breaks my heart with his choice.

I actually see Maya Hawke more as Jean Grey.

Out of those female X-Men characters, I find it interesting that the one you want to race swap and consider to be "black coded", is the woman who grew up poor in a southern state, has a "sassy" personality, and is usually drawn with a "thick" body type with a large firm booty. Hmmm...

Not sure why Margaret isn't qualified as Rogue. People know what Rogue looks like in the comics and cartoons. Hiring Keke Palmer as Rogue would just lead to unnecessary chatter online towards the film.

Keke Palmer’s press tour alone would be worth it, but I really do think she would be a fun Rogue.

I’m sure Margaret Qualley would be fine, too.

They could always just put her in heels for when Rogue is just stood around and when Rogue is flying, the height is less noticeable. Joey King is 5'4 which isn't too far off Rogue's height and heels would minimise the difference.

Anna Paquin and Halle Berry were also wearing heels, and Famke Jannsen still looked way taller than them. Height isn't something they can easily manipulate unless they use cgi. They tired to make Hugh smaller in X1 then just gave up on X2 completely.

She just doesn't have that look that says Rogue in my opinion. It's hard to describe but it's that certain something where you look at an actor or actress and just think "they could totally play that character".

Qualley gives more Kitty Pryde vibes (if KItty is not a teenager in the MCU).

Qualley would only give Kitty Pryde vibes if she's actually cast in that role and plays a teen Kitty Pryde. But they are unlikely going to cast a 30 year old actress for Kitty.

Put her in Rogue costumes and she would fit in like a glove. I saw her In the Substance. She can do sassy and action.

Want to race swap? Uh I'm not going into these fancasts thinking "oh which character can we race swap". I didn't pick Keke as Rogue because she's black, I picked her because she would be great in the role.

Why not cast a black woman for Jean Grey?

Jean Grey is a natural red head and ideally should be played by one.

I don't think certain characters should be race swappped (For example nobody talks about race swapping Storm because she is an iconic black charater and it would just be wrong on so many levels) yet white characters always seem to be considered fair game for race swaps whereas non-white characters don't.

In my opinion, characters who shouldn't be race swapped for various reasons are: Jean Grey, Gambit, Rogue, Storm, Magneto, Bishop, Mister Sinister, Polaris, Sabretooth, Emma Frost, Angel, Cannonball just to name a few. Cyclops could go either way but raceswapping his character would then have a knock on effect for Cable and Havok.

One character I think would work with a race swap for story reasons is Xavier.

She's rumoured for the role and looks the part. She's also 5'8, Rogue's height in the comics.

Have you seen The Substance? 5'8 for Kitty would be too tall, especially if the actress they get for Jean, Storm and Rogue are shorter than 5'8.
