Polaris was always someone I wanted to see in the movies. First Class gave me some hope after Banshee/Havok were adapted.

The Foxverse cast is more than enough for Doomsday. If this was a brand new X-Men film for the Fox cast, then I would want new faces to star with them.

Still need to have Halle, Anna, Famke and Shawn to be announced for Doomsday and Secret Wars.

Do you guys really think Feige didnt have a meeting with Ryan Coogler about X-Men, when they have worked together nicely all these years?
He clearly passed on the project, same as many other directors (MCU or not)

Ryan Coogler directing X-Men is just not realistic, especially Black Panther 3 isn't even released yet.

If he really wanted to direct X-Men, he would have said yes over Black Panther 3. Directors moving to other IPs is usual. even inside the comicbook industry.
so he clearly wasnt that interested in the X-Men after all. This is a "once in a lifetime" oportunity, to direct Marvel Studios's first X-Men film. So Im sure many directors in Holywood would kill to get this chance..... while others, more established likely feel this "has been done already" so preffer new concepts and original films over another version of the X-Men, the third version on the big screen, to be precise (this plays a factor for d*** sure)

I'd go a step further and say many established directors would love to work on an X-Men project but simply won't because Marvel is known as a producer driven studio over a "director-friendly" one. Now, I'd say more major studios are like this in 2025 because the industry is on shaky grounds at this moment in time, but Marvel and Feige has that rep more than anyone. Even Star Wars which is in the toilet has a much better reputation among the director fraternity if I had to wager.

I mean, not even directing. Get Coogler to produce it (like the goddamn Russos are being rumored to be). I mean, him being a producer on Ironheart gives it more value than originally.

But, I think there is a more obvious reason why a black directors pitch for an X-men movie would be rejected. One I think that has been plaguing Blade.

Directing is easier and done. Ryan Coogler doesn't seem like the type of director would settle on making movies under a franchise, that is heavily curated by a studio like Marvel Studios. We aren't getting Black Panther 3 as soon as possible, as Coogler decided to choose to direct Sinners first.

I don't think something like that is the best for the X-Men movies, if we want to see a handful of X-Men movies as soon as possible. Even if he wants to direct the X-Men, I can definitely see him prioritizing Black Panther 3 over X-Men. He is attached to Black Panther 3 and not the X-Men after all.

I can, Colmin is an inspired choice as Charles especially if they team him with denzel as Magneto.

Daisy I don’t know but she seems like a lovely Jean. Her name reminds me of Daisy from Spaced

Daisy is an incredible actress, very natural and so talented. I would be really pleased if she gets signed.

Same, Famke Janssen was in the same boat and made it work. She still is my favorite version of movie Jean so far.

The latest rumor from MyTimeToShineHello , is that Marvel Studios would like Daniel Day Lewis to play Magneto.

I could believe that Marvel Studios would want DDL for the role, but , i'd also like to be 6'3 and be driving a Red Corvette .

I find it pretty hard to believe Lewis would agree to play the role , but I'd be pleasantly surprised if he said yes.

This is Hollywood, and you can never say never, but I highly doubt it will happened.

But , I'd be cool with either Denzel or Daniel as Magento.

Heck, I'd be fine with a combo ,of either one, as Charles and Erik.
