Wasn't sure if I should start this in the sequel forum or here, but either way it pertains to both films.

I've been following Massee for a long time, going back to The Crow, Se7en & Lost Highway.

When I saw him in the post-credits scene, having skipped all the ASM trailers, I thought two things: Its awesome to see Massee in a Spidey film, but its even more awesome to see him as Gobby.

For those of you unfamiliar with this terrific actor, here's his filmography. I figure now's a good time to catch up on his work since Norman will probably have a bigger role in ASM2.

Massee's also been a regular on shows like 24, Carnivale, Revelations, Flash Forward and Rizzoli & Isles.

Props to Marc Webb for going with an actor I've suggested for Goblin to friends over the years many times. The guy's got the look, the voice & if you read through his filmography, the ASM series is the biggest thing that's happened to him since accidentally killing Brandon Lee 20 years ago. Its a shame to say that a guy this talented had his biggest moment when tragedy struck.

Anyway, here's hoping his portrayal of Norman levels Dafoe's and challenges Ledger's. Gobby is an agent of chaos - on a glider.

He's not Osborn though.

Have I missed an announcement or something?

I think this thread is a little premature. We have absolutely no idea who he's playing and Rhys Ifans said he was playing someone working for Norman, not Norman himself. Whether he was misguiding us or not doesn't really matter because we still don't know who he's playing either way.
