Shame about Hotline Miami 2. That was a pretty big disappointment. Excellent soundtrack though.

I'm not sure what I think of Hotline Miama so far. I only played the prologue, but I felt like I was missing something. It almost seemed like enemies glitched toward me whenever they spotted me, didn't have a chance to really do anything.

It's worth mentioning that I played it on PC with keyboard and mouse. I tried it with a controller and didn't really like it.

Is it suppose to be more of a stealthy game? Hits seem to be one-shot kills and it's like enemies are on you so fast you can't do anything. I managed the prologue by throwing ****.

I thought of it as almost more of a puzzle game than anything else.

hey guys, have any of you run into the situation where you buy a brand new, sealed game, and the bonus DLC code that comes packaged with the game says it's already been used when you try to redeem it?

that's recently happened to me, and I've already returned and exchanged the game twice, meaning I've tried 3 brand new copies, with 3 different DLC codes, and all of them come up with the error message that the codes have already been used.

Oh, wow. I've never encountered that. What game is it? At this point it's probably worth it to contact customer service of the publisher of the game or something.

It's Elder Scrolls Online. and the DLC code is for the Explorer's Pack, which is advertised on the front of the game box. The code says it is good between July 2015 and July 2016.

so, based on that, it should work.

and I have contacted the publisher through their official email support channel. it's been almost 2 weeks and I haven't heard a response yet.

So, I don't know if the code has been discontinued or what. but if it has, why include it still in new copies of the game?

I know retailers don't normally give refunds for open games, but this situation is so unusual.

clearly, something is not working right, and as of now, I'm not able to enjoy all of the content which I paid for.

if I didn't want that code, I would have just bought it used.

I'm sorry to hear that, after doing just a little quick searching online I'm seeing that that particular pack is a pre-order specific pack. I have no idea if that means in post-release most of those codes are useless but here's one of the threads I found (http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/110349/where-do-i-get-the-explorer-pack-upgrade). One comment says "Officially it's impossible to get the Explorer's Pack if you didn't pre-order."

Hopefully it all works out for you in some way, though

hmmmm.....yeah, I saw that, too. which is why I was hoping to hear from the company officially.

but also from that thread, there's this post:

"It is correct that Explorers pack is "Pre-orderers only". However stores might have a physical copy with explorers pack key. The key stays valid until redeemd (afaik there is no time limit to redeem them). You can get one of the not-yet redeemed explorers pack keys, but the supply is getting smaler."

so, based on that, if the code's still packed in with the game, it should be valid until the expiration date on the code.

and if the code was only meant for pre-orders or early batches of the game, then why is it still being packed in with the game and advertised on the front of the box?

That amounts to false advertising on the part of the game publisher, if you ask me. You advertise content that the consumer thinks he's getting with the game but can't use.

I'll give them by the end of tomorrow to respond. otherwise, I will try to take the game back to the retailer and try to get store credit refund if possible.

I smell a lawsuit coming....

:tmm:

Game has been out for awhile, though, so I feel if this were true nobody probably cares enough to sue or they would have already.

Is Injustice a good game? I've been thinking about buying the Ultimate Edition for 20 bucks. Would anyone here recommend it?

I think it's a decent fighting game, and for $20, you can go wrong since I believe it has all the DLC from the last gen versions. And I only call it decent because I'm not really into fighting games so I can't compare it to others.

I liked it a lot on the PS3 when my brother had it, so for cheap, with the DLC included I would say it is worth it personally.

well, an update.

I was able to return ESO for a refund last night. fortunately, I didn't have too much trouble once I explained the situation again.

also, talking to a different set of workers helps......lol.

anyways, just glad I was able to get my money back.

so I guess that lawsuit has to go on the backburner now. :o

yes. Injustice is a good game, especially if you like a Mortal Kombat style fighting game and DC characters.

plus, $20 is a good price. in fact, I just picked it up again recently at that price, cuz I need my Raven fix until Injustice 2 comes out. lol

yeah what X said. think of it as mortal kombat but without the fatalities.

it was actually free a few years ago on psplus.

it was offered 13 months ago. The game is good and a sequel will likely be announced within the next few months

I really hope with Injustice 2, and the move to the new gen consoles, they give the characters a needed graphical facelift - especially the ladies. cough....Raven.....cough.

MK X seemed to do a better job with making the female faces prettier and not so "manly" as in prior games. so hopefully Injustice 2 follows suit.

Thanks for your input guys :)

Yea, as a fan of MK, and DC that was my main draw to the game, but I've also been burned before on similar princaple.

I read the Injustice comics, the first three years anyway and I dont know where they could take the sequel without it feeling like a rehash.
