The Official Pull List Discussion thread

Seven actually, though two were stillborn.....at least until they retcon them back into exsistance as the bastard sons of the Impossible Man with the power to crack the internet in half.

Squadron Supreme is still dangerously close to being dropped from my list. The recent issue was more of a lateral progression as instead of Hyperion vs Redstone; it's now an injured Hyperion with Blur and Nighthawk vs Redstone with a dead Zarda.

I thought the latest Squadron Supreme was a huge step in the right direction, it was a freakin' awesome issue, in my opinion. Too bad that, I believe, this is Gary Frank's last issue on the book. And his art was amazing in the latest issue. And they FINALLY got Nighthawk back involved. Sweet jesus it took them long enough. :cmad:

Redstone is one of my favorite villains, I'll give him that. His smug face when Hyperion tried to leave him in space was priceless...and don't get me started on the laser vision to Hyp's eyes.

I guess this book has been in a slump for the last 2 issues or so; I forgot what it was like to enjoy reading it :o

Redstone was definitely out of control. He was killing people left and right while Mark was licking his wounds.

I agree, the shopping mall "civilian toss" is tough to top.

In light of my rereading this isssue, I think I'll allow SS to stay in my pull list but I'll tell you what's definately getting dropped as of this week....Hunter/Killer

Yeah, so I'm going to be short on funds for the next few months, and with all of these new series coming out, I made I dropped a ton of titles...

All Star Superman
Captain America
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
Green Lantern Corps
Ion
Iron Man
Moon Knight
Nextwave
Punisher Max
Invincible
The Walking Dead
Uncanny X-Men

So that leaves me with...

52
Action Comics
Astonishing X-Men
Batman
Batman and the Mad Monk
Civil War
Daredevil
Detective Comics
DMZ
Fantastic Four
Flash
Ghost Rider
Green Arrow
Green Lantern
The Irredeemable Ant-Man
JLA Classified
Jonah Hex
Justice
Justice League of America
Justice Society of America
Robin
Runaways
Sensational Spider-Man
Superman
Superman Confidential
The Spirit
Wonder Woman
X-Factor

:o

Wow. You're dropping Captain America? You really must be in a dire time. Personally, I would have dropped half the titles you kept...but....that's just me.

I dropped it cause so far I've gotten most of the issues in TPB. I figured I might as well just continue with that, and save myself the 2 bucks every month.

Pretty much the same deal with Invincible and Walking Dead.

Heh. That's exactly what I was thinking. Though CConn did say he's got most of the Cap run in TPB, so I can understand that. But I'm dropping The Flash after # 6 comes out and staying off until the new team comes on.

And I can replace The Flash with The Immortal Iron Fist. :yay:

I explained that the last time I posted my pull list. :cmad:

Still...if Guggenheim isn't good, I'll get rid of it. :o

Any JSA Classified readers here?

I was thinking about picking up the Flash/Wildcat arc and the last 2 issues featuring Hourman.

Yay or nay?

I might add it just for Slott's arc.

I really don't read Classified but I'm only going to pick up the Hourman arc though. It's only two issues so what the hell i'm going for it.

Doesn't always need to be a point. Just stories that involve characters from the past or present of the respective teams. Some are quite good. Like that Injustice Society arc in JSA. Some are quite bad. That's what happens when you have different creators on a book.

I've come to realize that with the Classifieds, it's best to buy it on an arc by arc basis. If the creative team and story premise sound intriguing, then check it out. If not, then don't waste your money.
