The Official Pull List Discussion thread

My 2007 List (bold indicates uncertainty about whether to continue, italics indicate new stuff):

Ongoing Series:

Astonishing (onboard since #1)
Captain America (onboard since #22)
Omega Flight (I'll check it out when it starts; support the home team)
New X-Men (onboard since #20)
Uncanny X-Men (onboard since #475)
X-Factor (onboard since #13)
Young Avengers (I try to be optimistic)

Miniseries:

Civil War
Civil War: Front Line
New Avengers: Illuminati

I don't really have any problems with X-Factor so far; it's funny, and well written, but not especially exciting yet. I'm going to stick on til the end of "Multiple Issues" and decide whether or not I like it enough to continue.

If youre waiting for big action scenes and villain battles, X-Factor isnt that type of book.

I'm aware of that; I'm trying to decide whether this style of writing is interesting enough for me.

And not to mention Frazer Irving will be doing the artwork and he's got great work. I have no interest in Silent War but might check it out simply for the pretty pictures. :o

Have you read any issues of it yet? It'd be well worth the $3-6 bucks to find out, IMO.

I've read 13 and 14. As I wrote above, it's well-written, and funny; I just haven't decided if this kind of book is something I'll buy on a monthly basis.

Just made a massive reduction in my pull list with more to come.

While the main events of this story will unfold within the five-issue World War Hulk mini-series by Greg Pak and John Romita Jr., there'll be plenty of action in Incredible Hulk as it ties directly into the blockbuster event.

Hulk scribe Pak says, "When the World War Hulk miniseries begins in May 2007, the pages of the ongoing Incredible Hulk series will set up certain elements of World War Hulk and show how the events of WWH tear through the lives of the Hulk and his friends."

I'll probably end up adding that mini to my pull list, from what I've heard Pak's Planet Hulk story is really good, and I've always wanted to try but never could get into the Hulk. Maybe this is where I should try it without having to invest too much.

Probably the smartest thing to do. Pick up Planet Hulk in TPB and ride out WWH.

Do you know if there are any parts of Planet Hulk in trade yet, or are they waiting to release it in one big book?

None have been released yet. They're waiting for it to end. No clue how theyre going to collect it. I'd expect maybe 2 hardcovers.

They should come out with one big hardcover.

I have a hardcover I picked up at Barnes & Nobles, that covers the first 50 issues of USM. I havent seen one of that size, since I picked up that one. Why dont they do that more?
