The Official Pull List Discussion thread

That's unheard of. I wish Gargoyles could come back in some form, either in a new TV show or a movie or something.

I just wish the comic could get a better artist. I'm fine with a comic continuation, but it's so hard to look at.

The covers are great. Just get the dude who does the covers to do in the interior work. Problem solved.

Maybe Guler's too busy doing storyboard work or just about anything else, which would almost assuredly pay more than small-press indie comics.

So, post-"Messiah Complex" it's time to reevalute the ole X-books.

Pre-"Endangered Species/Messiah Complex" I bought:

Astonishing X-Men
New X-Men
Uncanny X-Men

I added X-Men and X-Factor for the duration of ES/MC, plus the Emperor Vulcan miniseries that ends next week.

I know I'll be sticking with Astonishing (it seldom comes out, so it's easy to keep buying) and Uncanny; New is over, and I like the look of X-Force, so I'll buy that; I'll put X-Men: Legacy and X-Factor on provisionally; I tried the latter pre-ES, and dropped it after a few issues (wasn't my thing), but I'm interested to see what happens with Layla, and I like Darwin, who's joining the cast. From what I've seen of Young X-Men so far, it doesn't much interest me, and I'll probably skip Cable as well. So that leaves me with:

Astonishing
Legacy
Uncanny
X-Factor
X-Force

Yes....YES!

Me too. I dropped the rest of them in disgust over the cancelation of Heroes For Hire.
That title was worthless after Palmiotti and Gray left. Colleen stopped acting cute, Shang-Chi was whipped, and quirky-&-lovable Humbug was ruined 12 times over.

Hentai tentacle rape we couldn't even see.

Also, where were Otis' wacky moments? I bought H4H in hopes of seeing a bad guy fruitlessly try to kill Otis.

Misty and Colleen's receptionist. He was introduced in 2006's Daughters of the Dragon miniseries. He's probably around 5 feet tall, wears a sweater-vest and glasses, and is impossible to hurt. Orka tried to beat him to death when they first met, and Otis just kept telling him he punches like a little girl.

He's not a fighter. The one time he went into the field, he was used to distract the bad guys by getting shot at.

Well, wouldn't that make him pretty effective in the field all by itself? Not a fighter? Hey, that's cool; don't fight. Just walk your unkillable ass around in front of the guys who are fighters.

anyone here reading Madame Mirage by Dini?

the first issue on Newsarama reads pretty well

I started reading it, but it kind of felt like a more violent yet less engaging version of Catwoman. I dropped it after like the 3rd issue.

Would the fact that I've never read Catwoman help?

I guess? It feels like any gritty, urban superhero story, to be honest. Madame Mirage just happens to be hot and kill people.

Yeah. I wonder what his wife looks like in real life. She can't be as hot as Madame Mirage, right?

Right?

She is Madame Mirage. Basically, the character was based on her. She's hot. Like 20's burlesque hot. Like, wtf is she doing with that guy hot. It's a testament to the fact that, yes, even slobish fat-asses can get hot chicks if the stars align right.

The King of Queens: not just a fantasy.
