After issue #11, it was the LONGEST 28 days known to man. :(

yeah, I suspect so. I wish I'd been following it from the begining. I understand I missed out on a kick ass letters column?

Ya wanna know what really sucks? For me and probably most people who read Preacher in the trades - part of Kevin Smith's intro to volume 2 RUINS that scene. God damn him....

I warn everyone I lend the series to not to read that until they're done with the book itself, but still. Need to write a letter to DC or someone at Vertigo asking them to make it an afterward in future printings

Yep, I suspected something like that when I read the Preacher trades. I hate spoilers with all of my might.

I all ready have preacher. From that list I'll probably get 100 Bullets, Fables, Y: the last man and Transmetropolitan.

I'm thinking of picking up Preacher.

Do issues still come out and how many trades are there?

you definitely should

No, Preacher is not still coming out, it came to it's conclusion about 5 years ago, and ended with issue #66. The whole series is collected in 9 trades

Ive always wondered was it always meant to end on isue #66? You know 666, or am I reaching?

that I dunno, depends how far in advance Garth planned the series

Azzarello has said from almost the begining that 100 Bullets will end with #100

The Alias Omnibus, I had planned to buy this but im strapped for cash. Is it worth it?

Don't read the Kevin Smith forward at the begining of Volume 2...

It'll ruin the story.

Well thats just stupid

y the last man and ex machina are the only non superhero comics i read. i tried reading sandman, but it didnt keep my interests.

I'll third, fourth and fifth that recommendation and I'll even throw in a Fables recommendation for free.

Can anybody second the Strangers in Paradise recommendation on the fourth page? If so, are pocket books the way to go or regular trade size? The digest form puts me off a bit.

I tried two books from SiP (regular sized, not digests) a few years back because I'd heard the books named tossed around so much, but frankly, I found them really boring. I dunno, maybve if I tried them again I'd get mnore out of it.

Cheers, Elijya. Some find it completely intoxicating and others find it boring so I suppose it's a love it or hate it kinda book. I dunno, I've just looking through the thread for some more "non-superhero" material. Found a great bunch of titles so they should keep me occupied for a while. I've got the first trade from Volume 2 of SiP coming in the mail so I'll see how that goes.
