I'd seen a couple clips and a few reviews. I watched it tonight. I did think it was good , not best of the year for me but I would like to see it again.

I suspect that with using Zod, they're going to tie him in directly with the origin, and the narrative wouldn't work if they just threw out the origin from the film. Sure, it'd be acceptable in a comic, as part of an ongoing series, but we excuse a lot of what would normally be really ****** writing when it comes to comics.
