BvS The Official Superman/Batman Videogame thread

Well, i searched and there was no thread on the subject. (Thanks to Blackbat for the idea)

So, what would you like to see in a game like this? Who should make it? Rocksteady? What would you like to see in terms of gameplay?

Maybe a straight through single player, action/adventure like the Arkham games but with a added Vs. Mode? Where you could play co-op with or against your friends as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman or Cyborg?

What are your ideas?

I thought they were gonna make a JL game there for a while.. woulda been sweet.

Im pretty sure someone will make a JL game, when that movie comes out. Hopefully it's Rocksteady.

WB said they are done making movie tie in games in 2011.

HOWEVER

they said instead of making tie in games, they will makes games involving characters from the film but the game is more original.

Dark Knight Rises had Lego Batman 2 come out a month before to tie into the film.
Man of Steel had Injustice that came out 2 months before Man of Steel.

So while there won't be a game based on the movie, there will likely be a game including characters from the movie that comes around a month or 2 before the film.

My guess on the game? Rocksteady's Superman. Superman is rumored to make a cameo similar to Robin in Arkham City in Arkham Knight.

What about Batman Arkham Knight?

Some of you migh not know but there was a Man of Steel video game, However WB Intractive (the gaming arm of WB) didn't care and made it as an iOS only game.

I think it's because that WB didn't have faith in MoS before it went and became a big hit. (they picked Pacific Rim game to be on 360...yes over MoS). anyway this mean WB do make games for their movies.


Now for BvS, WB have multiple studios, Rockstedy (Arkham Series) Montreal ( Arkham Origin) Monolith (Fear) NetherRealm (MK/Injustice) and TT (Lego) So there are many option here, one doing a Batman vs Superman, NetherRealm doing JL fighting game or BvS fighting game with the characters from the movie.

I think the biggest challange is how to make Superman and Wonderwoman playble in a video game since they can fly and very overpowered.

Apparently it came out in 2012 but I had no clue.

It's a pretty fun brawler and a little more in depth than I thought it would be. Not bad for a buck.

Superman can be Batman's invincible flying buddy, while Batman can be the stealth strategist.

(Not that Sonic's strategic, but that's what came up in my mind)

So yeah, a game in which Batman rides Superman who shoots heat vision at robots would be boss-followed by stealthy Batman stages, followed by a beat-em-up/fighting stage in which players could switch between Superman and Batman fighting a really tough boss. Again, the boss would be targeting whoever the player isn't using.

And they could have a two player mode, with one playing as Superman, and the other Batman. Supes would be more powerful, but Bats would have the gadgets.

Also, think of what might have been had this movie been made years ago.

If Superman and Batman have to fly somewhere, Superman should hold the line of Batman's grapnel so Batman can glide behind Superman

I totally thought of that image when suggesting it

It would be funny,and also make sense story/gameplay wise. Superman has to escort Batman somewhere. Obviously, Batman isn't steering him, but also Superman can have a weakness that isn't Kryptonite-losing Batman.

It can also lead into a level in which Batman is finally on the ground, with Superman doing surveillance from above for more trouble.

Batman can get a solo level, while maybe having it end up with Superman having to bail him out at the end, leading into another escort mission. The final mission/boss would have to involve Superman's strength and Batman's gadgets. I can see it involving aerial combat, heat vision, Batarangs, superspeed, stealth, detective mode (for finding weaknesses) and teamwork. Maybe Batman weakens his foe while Superman delivers melee' attacks. That would be cool, right?
