The Official Superman: Doomsday Thread!!!!

Wow Lex sounds like ass. Should still be pretty good though, even if the recasting kind of sucks.

Wow. That really looks good so far...Loathing Lex's voice. Clancy Brown does The Batman but he can't even reprise his role as Lex. I wonder if the WB even asked him. Wouldn't suprise me if they didn't.

Oh well. Looks great. Maybe Knightfall will be next.

Not a fan of the comic, but this still looks pretty cool.

I'll be checking it out when it hits stores.

I am totally going to see it at Comic-Con. Bruce Timm will surely adapt this well.
I am looking more forward to THE NEW FRONTIER though.

I think they wanted to distance themselves from the other animated universe, and casting the same actor as Luthor wouldn't have done that.

This story obviously cant exist along with the Timmverse, since it just wouldn't fit. None of these movies will, and I think that's for the best.

Well I haven't seen Brainiac Attacks but these can always be established as taking place after JLU. Hell, animated movies focusing on individual members of the JLA would be awesome.

Brainiac Attacks takes place in the middle of S:TAS season 1. I think it takes place like a month or 2 after he first showed up and destroyed Lex's computers because they talk about that event in the movie like it was still very fresh.

Braniac attacks isn't part of the DCAU continuity. and this films isn't either, nor COULD it be since they already handled the Doomsday story in their own way in the Justice League.

Braniac attacks is part of the DCU continuity. All because Timm didn't have a hand in it doesn't mean it wasn't part of its continuity. Watch the movie they talk about the events stolen memories like they just happened in the movie.

I think what he means is....no one really likes Braniac Attacks, can't we just pretend it never happened??

I want to find a review of this movie it supposedly has already been viewed by critics. I really think it will be kick-ass. Im so very pumped for this movie.

You do know that Doomsday has a habit of coming back stronger than ever, repeatedly, right? If this movie was in continuity it could be said that this is why Superman finally dies in this one seemingly...He got his ass whooped hard in their last fight.

I'll join the 'Lex sounds bad' contingent. :down

I am looking forward to this though.

I so hope this movie doesn't let me down the way Superman : Brainiac Attacks did .

Does that mean we gonna have later a Superman vs Doomsday movie?

uh...this is a Superman vs Doomsday movie...

and I like Marsters as Luthor, but then again, I like James Marsters in anything...now all he has to do is play Zod in something and he'll have been all 3 of (my list) superman's top villains...Brainiac in Smallville, Luthor in this...

Hell yeah. I mean, what is wrong with everyone here?! This is James friggin Marsters!!! He's gonna be awesome.

I hate to agree with fans of The Batman about anything (that show sucks) but some people really do need to just LET GO and realize the DCAU is done, and that things are going to be different from now on...

I'm with odiin, Savage and Mister J. I hate to say it, but everything in terms of animation and the discussion of their direction with the feature film was awesome until I heard Luthor. Clancy could mix menacing, indignant and powerful tones in Luthor's voice. This VA doesn't. Everything else is gravy, though- the fight looks amazingly brutal (the blood gout from Superman was surprising) and even if Luthor's voice is a bit "meh" his lines seem spot-on. Hopefully this is as great as it seems.

You're judging by ONE line that Luthor sucks? Christ...

I won't say it sucks, but Luthor's dialogue is pretty cheesy there.

So...does this movie end with Superman dying...or will be have a sequel with the Reign of Supermen?
