then they cut back, and re-introduced the clip

pretty funny.
for those who didnt catch it, it was the airplane clip. nothing new.

He did well. I like Dave, but I don't think that's the best outlet for interviews for real info. But Routh handled himself well and came across as a nice guy.

I knew they would do a joke clip.

It was funny that the first time they were about to show the clip, they instead played a clip of Superboy from the '50s. Then after they played the clip, which was the plane clip we saw before, when the wing snaps andf Superman is flown back the whole audience went "Whoaa...." they were shocked as if that clip was real.

Man I fought through the horrible jokes and arrived at Routh and the clip. Can I just say that the clip looked fantastic on my HD television. The blue was vibrant and the red of the suit was actually bright in the sun. No matter what happens with the story this film will look beautiful.

Yeah, the audience seemed shocked. I don't think they thought it would look good, and were surprised when it did. Imagine the theater! I'm gonna be cheering!

I saw the interview with Letterman. Routh did a good job. Letterman does not know how to do an interview. So much more could have been done with it. He just asked where he was from, showed a clip (a joke clip and a real one) and then the halloween costume. Not much came out of it. I would agree that Routh came out of it looking like a nice guy who is professional and has a good sense of humor. I hope the other interviews reveal more and ask relevent questions.

Routh was great. Letterman was a jackass, he's unable to take this kind of stuff seriously. Sounded like the clip impressed the audience. I'm glad they showed the plane scene to showcase the amazing action and effects.

I hate Leno a little more than Letterman...but they're both just too old, and not as good with guests as they used to be...Routh seems like such a great guy...He premiered the movie to a crowd of military families at a base out here on Sunday and my gf went...she's in love with him now...Man that clip never gets old...I can't till next week

Probably to not let the public get familiar too Routh until SR is out. And the fact he is an unknown. He will surely appear on Leno, Conan, & others he hasn't appear on once SR is out.

Saw it last night... Letterman is a dumbass... I honestly didn't mind his idiotic jokes when he was interviewing Routh... what got on my nerves was how much time he WASTED with stupid little bits that weren't even funny (like that crap with the CBS page guy, or the old guy in the superhero costume). All that crap does is bore the audience and cut down the time for him to do interviews, which is the only reason anybody watches these pathetic shows anyway.
