Actually a red/blue Prime with what i think are called 'Ghost Flames' doesn't look that bad.

It all depends on where prime gets the 'truck' panels from

That Prime would have silenced so many people. Including me.
But, I guess the logic is that it wouldn't correspond well with the transformation result.

I still hate Prime's truck mode. Not so much because he's a long-nose but because he's an OLD 1980's boxy long-nose (Classics Line). Pure and simple: he's TACKY.

i know this is the wrong place to ask this but no one is in the tv area. What was the episode of the 80's cartoon where a large/huge autobot was frozen in the artic ice. he didn't want to fight, he just wanted to be left alone????? I can't remember that episode's name and its making me nuts.

That was Jetfire/Skyfire. One of the most popular toys with me and my friends (because of the Robotech thing). Originally a Decepticon, but turned to the good side. In the comic book his origin was different (he was created on Earth)... but his Decepticon-To-Autobot character was the same.

I believe the episode was called Fire in the Sky from Season 1 and the Transformer in question is Skyfire...or Jetfire if you want the Toy/Comic name. Interesting to note that when Skyfire is freed from the ice and Starscream is telling Megatron who he is they are both in Earth form. Lazy animators should have drawn their Cybertronian forms...but less money to spend equals the way to go.
