That's too good/funny!

her boobs are already bigger than Megan's really are. she's supposed to be a 17 y/o high schooler...not a 32 y/o playboy bunny.

Boobiggerity has nothing to do with age. It's a plot device devised to bring in pre-pubescent young adult readers. It's also known as "The Liefeld Manouever".

The only drawback to The Liefeld Manouever is that it crumbles when you apply boobiggerity to a man, especially when said man is Captain America.

Dorky, don't listen to this man at all, please. Except that he is correct about big boobies looking terrible on men.

And I'm glad you like my Grimlock design. :)

no problem Æ. doing everything digital definitely has it's advantages, but it also has it's weaknesses. for instance, it's more tempting to take longer breaks because the internet is right there...hehe. one advantage that really comes in handy, though, is being able to have references right there...which is how i'm able to get the picture to look more 3 dimensional. references always help my art.

good call on her likeness...i fixed her tho. look below :)

i was going to put light on her arm, but then i realized that Sam would probably block that light source from hitting her arm. ;)

anywho...another updated before i go dream about my car transforming.

Damn Dorky that's looking way better than what i expected. That OP is gonna look so bad ass.

Man what tool do you use to make the blend in like that and they also as if they had texture? So Awesome :woot:

Can't wait to see the final work.

****ing A man :D

Hey Dorky, what tools are you using to create this wonderful work?
my custom-made PC :)

Are you using a wacom tablet to do the digital inking??
Yup...Intuos 3! i love it to death...

What program are you using??

Photoshop, all the way!

Are you converting your sketch grey to ink over it like that to mimic pencil??
no, actually...what i do is open up a new canvas, add a layer for sketching out how i want the layout and positioning, make that layer 50 to 20% opacity (giving it the gray look) then add a NEW layer for the clean line art. once i'm done with that i'll add layers under the line art so i can color.

What size line(s) are you using?
it depends...if i want a thick line (foreground objects) i'll use a 9, for background objects i'll use a 5, and for detailing i'll use 3.

Did you use any source material to get a basis of what you wanted to approach the drawing at?
oh DEFINITELY! haha...this is about my 3rd time tackling a Transformers drawing and the first 2 times were really just sketches. i started planning out Prime's design a while ago when pictures were still coming out and i didn't have a real good idea of how they put him together. the Prime i drew is more of a streamlined Prime while still keeping the mechanical look. as for Mikaela and Sam.....i'm proud so say the only things i needed reference on was their clothing.

i try to tell people to find their own flow, but i'm sure there are hundreds (maybe thousands) of artists out there that have a similar process to mine. the way i do it is pretty effecient....i'm not as fast as i'd like to be but that's a problem with me, personally, and not the process. hope that helps a lil' and good luck!

Heh, after looking at your WIP lineart, and reading this, it occurred to me that your process and my process is the same.

.... you're just better at it than me.

thanx dude...i'll use a regular brush to paint the shades and highlights but i use the blend tool a lot to get the smooth look.

i'm sure i'm not the only one that uses a process like that. you know what they say........great minds....

anywho, update....right arm is done!

Looking better and better with each update, Dorky! :)

Here's another Grimlock pic I started. Work in progress, obviously.

wow nice.

The detail on that Bumblebee pic is fantastic, me likey.

the more I look at that rediculous amount of details in that drawing, the more I wonder the original size of this piece of work.

That's ridiculous! I like the pencils better than the final piece though.

one gripe.....he has floating parts, hehe. i agree nosebleed...the pencils look better than the colored version.

I was going to say that also at first. But upon 2nd viewing, I think they are just attached to extremely shiny parts of the body.

I can't explain what's the deal with underneath the left arm though so what do I know. But in truth, its all nitpicking on a fantastic piece of art. Kudos to the guy. Now hurry up with yours.
