i think 2x stronger then the average person maybe 3x but not much more than that hes not like superhuman strong. anybody see be that strong with proper training and exercise. i think about how strong is batman

you dont think he would be more along the lines of a martial artist, catching a bullet seems more like a ninja move

Or someone who lacks the intellect to understand the complex ideas behind Watchmen.

But I think he was just messing about, so there's little need to throw jabs at him. :cwink:

The movie is just not for everyone, or most rather and has little do with someones IQ. What I grew tired of reading on here was juvenile responses that basically said "you didn't like Watchmen then you must be half a ****** and lack the brains to understand it".

I just found it boring as did several others. Great looking and very well done film, it just isn't for everyone.

You do make good points, but you know just as well as I do that when some people don't understand something they say it's stupid. If you didin't like film, but you understood the point behind the story then that's fine.

If you think it was a very well done film then why was it boring?

I think maybe he was referring to the technical aspects of the film...I've seen a lot of movies that are very pretty and sound good, etc that are complete snore-fests...

See my biggest problem was how most the people who didnt like it couldnt get past Manhattan's junk. They couldnt understand why he was naked so most just rant about blue balls. And ive read crap about how Snyder would be a better porno director because of this and some sex scenes that are in the comic. So no does not likeing WATCHMEN mean your stupid, NO butmost people who complain about it are

Just not type of story. I think Snyder has a fantastic visual style and really gets the best out of his cast. It was a great looking movie.

I just find these types of stories boring and really think the pacing is too slow for my taste and I really find the plot lacking.

I admit I would love to have seen more Rorschac and Comedian as the scenes with them were easily the best parts of the movie.

Fair enough. :yay:

see I would have wanted almost the opposite of shon and had watchmen be more like a slow dramatic piece then an action movie with dramatic bits in it. Not have it look like visual eye candy and advertise it as a drama.

I think Watchmen is a better movie overall than previous team fluff kiddie team movies like X-Men and Fantastic Four, for damn sure!

I wouldn't call X-MEN and X2, or even X3, "kiddie fluff movies" on any level.

Watchmen was amazing...best comic book movie made after TDK

X3 is more fluff than X-MEN or X2...but it's certainly not all fluff, or "kiddie fluff".

X-Men 1 & 2 are not "kiddie fluff". X3 has elements of it, but that is due to Fox and Ratner. I agree with you on Fantastic Four, however.

Seen it today again, for the second time. Must say, I enjoyed it as much as the first time, maybe because I was not nitpicking to see if everything was "as in the book". I just enjoyed a well-made movie, with high production values (direction, acting, effects, music, etc.). The digital projection added even more to that.

I saw it for a third time tonight. It keeps getting better. I notice more every time I watch it. There's a **** ton of subtleties to this film.

I noticed and got sure about some things as well:

- The cars may not look different ("alternate universe/futuristic") but they don't emmit any fumes.

- SQUID appears both in the 3rd act, but you can see the acronyms in the small video conferencing monitor in Jon's lab, where the screen shows Veidt with a couple of scientists. Also, I may have a vivid imagination, but it seemed to me as if the teleportation energy around the last device was forming and moving in a tentaclish way...

- Not an observation, but since I had to watch the movie in a German movie theatre, the guy who dubs Tom Cruise was doing the voicework for Veidt :woot:

- When Hooded Justice beats up Eddie, Night Owl I can be seen entering the room, right behind Silk Spectre I.

- Archie's thrusters are glowing blue. The small laser device Night Owl II is using in Karnak and Ozy destroys later leaves a blue spark. Nice little details pointing out how Dr. Manhattan changed the scientific appliances.

- I am sure that there are many more details ;)

The second time I saw it, I picked up where Kovacs is holding the sign walking by the restaurant where Dan and Laurie are having dinner.
