Nope, I'm perfectly fine doing that: Zack Snyder probably caused some of the problems in his movies.

You however, discredit almost every contribution he makes because there are some aspects of his movies you dislike, which may not have been his fault.

I don't think he's the best guy for the job, **** it, I don't even know who that would be. But the melodramatic catastrophe SHH's merry band of downers think this movie will be is hilarious to watch them justify.

What contribution is that exactly? Visuals? Yes they are impressive. What else? Inconsistency? Not really what I'd call a contribution.

Zack Snyder is sure to give us a lot of iconic cape porn shots. Definitely excited for that.

Definitely excited to see him get his hands on GL, Aquaman, The Flash, or whoever ends up being on the League.

Well a director is responsible for overseeing every aspect of the film. Everything from the suits to the set design to the film stock needs to be approved by him. So it's tough to separate a director from the film overall. So if you like his films that give him credit. If not then don't.

This goes back to your point about people using the script as a cop out. As a director if a script doesn't seem up to snuff with you then you should hire a writer to rewrite the script until your happy with it.

You do seem to miss an awful late, might be your wont. You must have specially missed the part where the avengers was universally acclaimed by critics and audiences alike to be a very funny, engaging and rousing piece of engagement or missed its 1.5 billion dollars or might have missed seeing it what an audience which would have laid all doubts to rest as to how the audience was responding to it. Or maybe you don't have a sense of humor. Or maybe you are a DC fan. :cwink: (The last two might actually mean the same thing.)

All very cute rhetoric on your part. Forgive me if I'm not impressed by "critical acclaim" or making a lot of money. Beyonce is critically acclaimed and Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus make tons of money, I suppose that makes their music of a grand quality? Using those as premises to your argument makes it inherently flawed.

Drop me a message when you need somebody to pick apart your juvenile logic again :yay:

You're 100% correct. I concede to your infallible points on all fronts

No sense of humor? Okay that confirms it. :yay:

The thing is, PJ already proved himself with the original LOTR trilogy.
I don't understand this. He proved that he could do what? Make 3 great films in a row? He may have done it once with LotR, but if he proved himself why were people divided on AUJ? I loved that film and I consider it great, but it divided the masses. The only thing that PJ proved is that 1. He knows and loves the world of Middle-Earth and 2. There are very few directors that can consistently make crowd pleasers, and he's not among them

Snyder could just as easily be like Marc Webb on the Amazing Spider Man films. ASM2 is not a giant leap in quality from ASM1
I haven't seen ASM2 yet, but I wouldn't expect a giant leap in quality. Not every franchise can have a BB - TDK sized leap. I think most people would be happy with a JL that's simply better than MoS, as long as it brings the goodies you'd expect from a mega crossover.

I just need a film I love and enjoy. The kind of movie I would want to watch anytime without having to talk myself into it (which, sadly, I have to do with MoS every time).

I don't need an Oscar nominee.

I'm saying that its not an entirely comparable situation because at least with PJ he made three great LOTR films before his fourth one wasnt that strong. Its to be expected, actually. In Snyder's case, he has yet to prove that he can make a good Superman film

Actually, to over half of the people who've seen MoS, he's already made a good Superman film. What Snyder has yet to prove that he can make a Superman film that is more well received than the previous one, and as is the case with inconsistent directors, while there's a chance he won't, there's always the chance that he will. WB believes he will, so do Cavill, Affleck, Terrio, and Eisenberg.

He certainly made a Superman movie people liked. The box office numbers, Blu-Ray/DVD sales, and user scores on review sites speak in favor of that.

The DC movies just need more charm and better dialogue. Then, I think they can really compete with Marvel.

^ I hope by more "charm" you don't mean more of that Marvel humor that they often overuse. I don't want DC to be just like Marvel except with DC characters.

Going with a color palette that isn't so bleak would be a good start, visually.

This was one of the biggest pet peeves I had with MoS. The saturation was way too muted and the blue tone was overdone.

^ That's fine, but I like that DC movies are more serious. Please...don't Marvelize all CBMs. There's a reason I'm more of a DC fan. Can't we have variety? Why does everything have to be like Marvel?

He's all we got and my dream of seeing Cyborg in all his glory depends on this movie doing great. Lord help me... but in Snyder we trust...

I think he was being sarcastic. But I could be wrong.
