Well take away the trophy all Dalglish has to say is "your playing for the 96" team talk done, players and supporters will be fired up

Every club has their element of knuckle draggers, Chelsea's were on show tonight.

I wonder how many have a minority that large and that disrespectful.... Theres knuckle draggers then there is what we saw today

TBH I haven't seen it mate, don't know how audible it was.

I did hear something about the boos being a response to some clowns shouting murderers though, could be horse****.

There were alot of fans shushing the people chanting stuff

Spurs booed after the silence aiming the boos towards the Chelsea fans

spoke to my mate who was there and he said while it was the minority it was far too many for it to be considered an exception or a small group of idiots

All the clubs have a moronic fringe. Sad but true.

Chelsea are no better and no worse than any other club in that regard. I've heard awful taunts and abuse hurled by fans at all clubs over the years. During minutes silence on occasion as well.

And Spidey-Dude, I can understand you being offended. The idiots disrespecting the minutes silence are inexcusable, but calling Chelsea a 'vile plastic club' is an OTT reaction, and as a Chelsea fan, that's something I find offensive.

You said in an earlier post "some of you might say "its the minority, dont tar them all with the same brush", and I'd add just a slight correction to that: It's what we should all say. Have a go at the morons responsible for the offence, not the club and the true fans who want nothing to do with those idiots.

And just one more thing you need a correction on: Chelsea's allocation was in fact sold out. I know as my brother and 2 friends tried to get some tickets and could not. Any that were empty today were corporate bought seats.

Yeah, even though I have no love for Chelsea, they did release a statement condemning what happened. One can't blame the club, it was just scum being scum.

You are right - but it was a large minority, and unfortunately I have met far too many Chelsea fans who are ***** in my time (likewise I do know alot of good ones) so yea the reaction might have been a bit ott but it is an emotional one

I heard that the tickets were very easy to get for Chelsea fans, with season tickets with 1 prior fixture in the cup being allowed to buy up to 3 tickets (compared to my 2 previous games not being eligible for a ticket for yesterday) - the reason there were so many empty seats in the chelsea end (approx 1,500) was because the tickets were available so easy touts bought them and were unable to shift them (for the inflated tout prices)

Spurs fell apart as soon as they brought a second striker on, and Kit's old mate Parker was invisible for a supposed gritty DM, Mata had acres to play in.

I think what probably took spidey and others off guard was it wasn't just a few whistles and the odd yell, it was a concentrated and fairly loud chant.

Okay, going to have to try and get my hands on this.

There was a team that had one of the Spider-Man movies as their sponsor.
Cool. Pretty good idea to do it just before the film comes out especially if the team has at least one TV game. Probably not that much expense and nearly every supporter watching the match will likely have awareness after one game.

shoulda sponsored Porto for obvious reasons

youre exactly right, it wasnt the odd knobhead but a couple of hundred people chanting disrespectfully about the dead

I have said many a time how much I despise spurs on here before, but they tried to drown out the vile chants with applause and then booed the Chelsea fans, respect to them for that

was the minute silence before United game for Hillsborough? because our main rivals fanbase managed to respect it, yet Chelsea couldnt

So I was thinking about the love we have for Scotty Parker but am I crazy to think that I would like to see Michael Carrick in the England set up? I think he's been really good this season for United.

Funny you mention that, I came across a rumour this morning that there was a chant of 'always the victim, it's never your fault' amongst the Man U crowd yesterday, can anyone who saw that game clarify this?

Also, found footage of the Chelsea chant

It is certainly upsetting, can't deny that that was a "significant" minority.

I know we have a few Leeds fans so I wanted to see if you guys knew anymore about this.

Not suprising, the Stewards at Elland Road are jumped up ********s whether it's a sell-out against Millwall at home, or 5,000 home fans against Lincoln. Don't get me wrong it's not the easiest crowd at the best of times, but these guys treat it like a warzone, act and ask questions later. Bates' regime treating the fans like crap isn't anything new either, he's got Leeds fans by the balls and he knows it.

"Michael Carrick has been great this season" whilst I never thought I would, I fully agree. He's just kept his head down, let Scholes take all the plaudits and played well. If he's not in the squad it's a crime.

Did anyone see little Scholes tribute by MOTD2? I'm proud watched Scholes in my lifetime.
