Agreed, the goals were great and alot less flopping...but Barcelona is only a great team for me because of a couple of great players. Messi, Villa, and Xavi.

Dont like anyone else

I've tried to do a decent team on a budget:

De Vries/ Westwood

Riise, Wilkinson,Salgado, Luiz Steinsson
Eagles, Delph, Pugh, N'zonzi,Moses
Graham, Ba, Sammon

I have my sights firmly on bottom place!

Signed up for the league (Scotting Lisbon)

Hart

Rafael Luiz Kompany Shorey

Milner Cahill Adam Ben Arfa

Suarez Zamora

Friedel Woodgate Meireles A.Johnson

No iniesta? Puyol? Those guys make the team for me plus the ones you mentioned, I feel if just one is missing there entire team dynamic changes.

Just got back from the Paul Scholes testomonial/open training. One of the best atmospheres at a stadium I've ever experienced. His goal was a classic, vintage Scholes goal, and the sold-out crowd loved it. A great game.

Man I wish I was there, saw Scholes goal. Loved it.

How does fantasy work for football?

so city is rumoured to have basically signed Sneijder(though its being denied by both parties) and will have nasri by the end of the week

my thoughts on stuff like this have been said at length in the past but it shows how bad the game has got when one or two teams can just offer silly money in wages and just double and transfer fee

What the ****????

Honestly, are there any footballers out there that aren't in it for the money at this point?

"Arsene Wenger, Can he fix it?!...Arsene Wenger, No it's F***ED!!!"

Superb performance from Leeds yesterday, if there ever was a 3-1 mullering then this is it. The new signings if you can call them that look ****, Michael Brown is a joke of a player and our 2 fit strikers got 3 goals between them the whole of last year. The only player who gave a **** was Gradel and the club aren't prepared to offer him a contract! Honestly think we'll be fighting relegation this season, Grayson will walk soon. Oh it's good to be back.......

I haven't heard anything about Sneijder to City. I heard about Nasri to city though.

Well, it's gonna be Sneijder or Nasri. But really don't know what's so bad... If you've got enough... Only a**holes like Wenger can cry about money over and over again.

To be honest it can come across as sour grapes at times particularly from United fans who for about 10 years had twice the amount of money of everyone else in the country, the whole reason clubs like us got into **** was because we were living beyond their means trying to compete with United. Good luck to you I doubt anyone would have a problem with it if it was their club.

I hope we beat City today get a big morale for new season.

To be honest I think a win today is more important for City than United

Edit: United were awesome 2nd half, that 2nd goal was immense. Well done to United

I'm telling you guys, De Gea is not looking very good to me.

GET ****ING IN THERE!!!!! YEEEEEAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!

****ING AWESOME COUNTER FROM NANI!!!!! AND THE BUILD UP TO THE SECOND GOAL WA SUBLIME!!!!

:awesome::awesome:

De Gea is only 20 and makes a single error in his first real game for us.... give him some time before he's written off please!!!!

Yeah he's only 20 but he's not a backup that we can develop, he's the #1 keeper. I'm not saying he's terrible but from what I've seen his reactions have been slow.

Agree with you there he is young, he will make mistakes but when he does who have you got to step in Lindegaard? You don't want a situation like Spurs had with Gomes where you have a keeper who needs a rest but you can't as his replacement isn't good enough. It'll only disadvantage De Gea in the long run.

Well honestly, now that he's there you have to play him. Just gotta live through the growing pains.

Even if it costs you silverware, it just seems a very un-Fergie move
