yeah... as much as i think Rooney is a great player.... he does have a short fuse & the ban is.... expected.

I was just commenting on how the media will blame Rooney for Englands woes... even when he's not playing

They always need a scapegoat.

EDIT: It's just like people going crazy because over here the US has been playing pretty badly. Wake up people, the fact is, we're just not that good.

Out of interest, what's your opinion on Altidore? Isn't he your only out and out striker? Everytime I give him the ball on FIFA, he moves like a snail.

He has potential but we've been saying that for years now. He's 21 but when you look at what players at that age are doing at the international and club level, he's not even close. I don't understand why he's always put up there are a lone striker. I think if you pair him up with someone like Agudelo, sort of that speed and quickness to his size and strength, we'd be a lot more threatening towards goal. Along with Dempsey and Donovan (who IMO we should start playing more centrally) on the wings.

Unbelievable football...

I'll have to hunt down the footage, was going to watch the game but something came up. Crazy.

After the massive stink they kicked up about Henry's handball in the World Cup Qualifiers, I'm still waiting for the Republic Of Ireland to offer Armenia a rematch "to preserve the integrity of the game" and all that........

 I've been saying that, yet everyone I know calls me crazy.

I mean, I love our national team I will support them in every tourney they're in but we've only made it to World Cups because it's been Mexico and the US in CONCACAF. Now, you have teams like Honduras and Panama on the rise.

Well now that the International break is over I'm hoping this thread starts to liven up abit! It's been a good start for my boys 13 points out of the last 15, we're up to 5th, we've got the leagues top goalscorer in fine form and we are finally keeping clean sheets! It seems a million miles away from the doom and gloom I've been predicting earlier on.

I'm going to use an old cliche but if Rooney or Suarez had scored this goal we'd be talking about it for weeks, whereas with it being McCormack it probably won't get shown on the telly!

On the big match today, I worry about United's midfield getting outfought and also whoever is at right full-back as those have been really the only criticisms you could throw at United so far. I just hope for a cracking game.

Come ON United! It's not easy going Anfield we have lost few games there we need to get back on track.

Never in the history of football has a worst free-kick decision been given against United for Liverpools goal.

Ferdinand caught his foot, easy to see in the replay.

Good point in the end as Liverpool crafted the better chances and forced 3 good saves from De Gea. Ref was terrible though, missed the Evans handball, should have sent Suarez and Rio off, even if Rio didn't catch Adam the ref gave a freekick and so should have given a second yellow. He also booked Lucas and Young for nothing tackles.

I think Fergie selected the wrong team today, I guess Rooney's "heads not right" again or whatever and Welbeck did good in his place, but No Anderson or Nani?

I also think this is Rio's last season, he got a yellow today because he was scared to let Suarez turn, I mean a defender of his experience going straight into the back of someone? he knows it's a yellow, and even though I don't think he caught Adam, he was still beaten for pace and got on the wrong side of him to even attempt a challenge. He was poor in the last game he played as well and I think the injuries and on/off nature of his last few seasons are starting to catch up on him.

Hernandez! what can I say? the boy is a goal machine, perhaps the best box predator around.

The slightest of touches. Adam was looking for it all the way, he should of been booked for diving.

As I said to my Dad, you need consistentcy with your defence. Shoving Ferdinand in there next to Evans doesn't make sense to me, I would of rather played Jones/Evans, or gambled and played Rio/Vidic. Chopping and changing your defence is a no-no.

Reminds me of a certain baby faced assassin. :woot:

The slightest of touches is still a touch. I happen to think is was more than slight, it was easily visible in the reply and definitely enough to unbalance Adams and take him to ground.

United point of view I take this draw. Why Rooney and Nani didn't start from the start? De Gea was just excellent but couldn't do nothing with Gerrard goal. Why h=the hell Giggs moves away from the wall? I just don't understand. Liverpool wereon top in every way.

Outplayed at Norwich today, still looking for that first away point. Although we have had to play Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal on our travels. Still to concede a goal at the Liberty.

Wonder if the FA will bother to punish Balotelli for celebrating his goal in
front of the Villa fans today?

very dissapointed to be coming away from that with only a point - which imo really shows how far we have come under Kenny

Why? He was just standing there. Nothing more. However another great City performance today. Great to see that sometimes we can play without David Silva.

But United really really should be happy with that one point...
