It's the last thing that happens in the opening titles...there's that little descending interlude, then all the instruments come back and play the Uncle Ben theme, aka Peter's Theme, aka the Power and Responsibility Theme.
edit: Goes for SM1 and 2. Young cut it out of the end of the titles in SM3.
Ohhhhh!!! Yeah! I know what you're talking about now.
Yeah, to tell you the truth, that's one of my favorite parts in the Spider-Man 1 and 2 score. It's like this great crescendo. I love it. When I saw Spider-Man 3 I immediately noticed that this part was missing. But then, I started wondering: "hmmm...maybe it was there and I just wasn't paying attention?" But now that you guys are saying it wasn't there, now I know that it wasn't just my imagination.
Why did Young cut that great part out of the opening score??

I notice that he has the "Uncle Ben theme" in the latter part of the movie when Peter pulls out his old Spidey costume to go save MJ. Makes no sense to me why he would cut that part from the opening.
I like Venom's score, but other than that...everything else was just alright. I personally feel that Spider-Man 1's score was the best. It was most powerful. The drums were more prominent too.
This is kind of OT but...
If anything, I absolutely
hated the beginning to the movie. Just the music, and how everything was so "light and breezy"....ughh...it just looked/felt soooo cheesy! Seeing Spider-Man flying through the city with that cheery music in the background....ugh. Even Peter's opening monologue sounded sooo cheesy. "Yep, that's me! Your friendly neighborhood....well...you know." UGHGHGH!!!

I really cringed when I saw it.
Part 1 (and even Part 2) opened up much better. Part 2 was kind of cheesy with MJ's face on the billboard, but it was still a better opening monologue.
