Stumbled upon this bit of info on matchmove and layout artist Nick Sinnott's official site. It looks like California based effects house The Orphanage (Credit list) are working on fx for Iron Man.
One of their most recent works was the bank robbery sequence in Superman Returns which included the infamous bullet-in-the-eye shot.
