The Paris Hilton Fiasco Threads Merged

I really dont know what some of yall problems are...who the hell gets 45 days for driving without a license? ive just started following this and that seems beyond ******ed;why not just give her 90 days of house arrst?

granted i think no matter what the penalty was shed have this kind of reaction. shes never been punished for anything.
She drove with a suspended license, while on probation from her DUI.
She is a violator of her probation. No one would be treated any differently.

As happy as I am right now, I'd be even happier if audio of her breakdown was leaked.

a triumph for common sense- well done to the judge!

Those in the court room are saying...."she has some type of problem...medical, mental....there is definitely a severe problem"....

People reading it on paper, they are saying.....it was much different sounding in the courtroom......

i know with diabetes in jail and i knowpeople who are skitz and in jail. her condition is reallly nothing special. and paris is just making this hard for herself. those peeps in jail are going to have it in for her when she goes back.

i just put on fox news and ann coulter is on there talking about this

she's separated from the rest of the inmates though

yeah but she gets taunted in jail. imagine sleeping in your bed and hearing your name being called out by everyone.

As much as Paris deserves time for breaking the law, there are WAY too many people who have unwarranted hate for her. Especially seeing as they don't know her personally.

Paaaarissss...come out and p-lay-eeeee....

It's because we're rich and they're not. That's hot. :o

Paris was in a special isolated part of the prison, as well as being alone in a room where there would have normally been two people. I doubt she ever even saw or heard another prisoner while she was there.

that prison aint sound proof man. shes still going to hear ****.

i think this judge deserves a slow clap across america.

You never know - I read that the separate area of the prison she was in was intended for use by the sick, mentally ill, or celebrities. It could very well be soundproof.

Good.

That is the whole POINT of the JUSTICE SYSTEM.

Whether you look at it as retribution or as rehabilitation the point is that jail is such a crappy place, and you have such a horrible time that you never want to go back, thus creating a positive change in behavior. Additonally, their suffering is comforting to the rest of society because we can rest assured that those who violate laws and make the world more dangerous for the law-abiding (regardless of HOW much more dangerous they make the place) will not be allowed to hurt others or make a mockery of the rest of us.

Don't feel bad for her, remember she brought it upon herself...that destroys any sympathy I might have for her. I mean hell, what if she had run into some stationwagon with some mother of five inside and killed the mom?? left the kids motherless?? Still feel bad for Paris then??? Theres teh thing, this is meant to teach her a lesson so that situation DOESN'T happen.

Court is adjourned. Justice is served.

Exactly. Couple in the fact that Paris represents many of the things that people are tired of in this country: elitism, rich people who buy their way into and out of whatever they want, the whole "famous for absolutely no reason" phenomena that's going on in this country, and her generally just being a spoiled, arrogant brat who people obviously want to see taken down a peg or three and it's easy to see why people are interested in this story. She's spent all this time being "fabulous" and inspiring little girls to emulate her (sadly) and now they're getting a glimpse of what being "fabulous" and shallow will get you. She broke the law and put other people on the road at risk. She broke her parole. She's not repentant about it and she'll probably do it again, too. I hope she hates every moment of her 45 days of nobody paying attention to her with no TV or radio.

Kinda like how I can judge you by your poor spelling and grammar then?

And we only see what the media wants us to see, the negative side of Paris. Just like any other celeb. And are you telling me that you've never made mistakes in your life?

This is even better than when the Steelers won the Super Bowl.

This picture paints a thousand words.........

In the article it states that she kept telling her parents "I love You". The sad part about all of this is that her "parents" didn't love her enough to tell her "no" ....to deny her some things in life.....they always said yes. Thus, Paris grows up as someone who has contempt for the law. Now---what the justice system is forced to do, is what what her "parents" should have done long ago. Now the system she had contempt for is returning that contempt 10-fold.

I don't feel sorry her. I pity her. But guess what.... there are a lot of people behind bars right, now, crying. Folks that "truly" didn't do anything wrong.

You also forgot that he didn't put, "ignorant and a dumbass," instead of, "isnorant and dumbass."

now your just making unfair accusations and assumtpions. you dont know how her parents raised her.

Is it normal procedure for sheriff' to let people out of jail early without going through the court system?
