opps - is in wrong thread...but still funny!

What more can she do to make america hate her?

I love how FOX News and CNN muses about how they probably shouldn't be talking about every microsecond that occurs in this fiasco, and then promptly reverts to doing exactly that. They recognize that they might be doing a wrong and promptly go about doing it anyways.

My thoughts? She's not important. She got drunk, and like anyone that could have killed another person she was sent to the clink. My 9 year old cousin brought a plastic gun to school and got introduced to the slammer for a week. People have endured loads more "injustice" than Paris is hyperventilating over without being a drama queen about it. Having a mansion to yourself, even as limited as she is, is no injustice at all. She's nobody's role model, hasn't done anything but fill scandal lines for some time now, and is seriously wasting other people's better-spent life with her antics. Time to move on.

A Simpsons episode parodying this with an actual scene like this would make my day.

taken from yahoo's news headlines....sounds like this person is trying to win a friggin' pulitzer

After being taken to court Friday in a black-and-white police car, paparazzi sprinting in pursuit and helicopters broadcasting live from above, Hilton entered the courtroom weeping and continued to cry throughout the hearing, which lasted more than an hour.

Her blond hair was pulled back in a disheveled knot, in contrast to the glamorous side-swept style in her booking photo earlier in the week. She was wrapped in a long, gray fuzzy sweat shirt over slacks.

Several times she turned to her parents, seated behind her in the courtroom, and mouthed, "I love you." At one point, she made the sign of the cross and appeared to be praying.

Her body shook constantly as she cried, clutching a ball of tissue, tears running down her face.

Seconds later, the judge announced his decision: "The defendant is remanded to county jail to serve the remainder of her 45-day sentence. This order is forthwith."

Hilton screamed.

Eight deputies immediately ordered all spectators out of the courtroom. Hilton's mother, Kathy, threw her arms around her husband, Rick, and sobbed uncontrollably.

Deputies escorted Hilton out of the room, holding each of her arms as she looked back.

cry me a friggin' river...I read this and started laughing as I pictured the person writing it.

Nicole Richie is on Conan. How much you wanna bet she's gonna talk crap about Paris?

This is some of the dumbest drivel I've heard in some time. She prayed? She screamed at what was an inevitable decision? Her mother cried? Jesus. It's not like she's dying. She's going to jail and getting solitary confinement for a little more than a month. She needs to get over this and actually make a discernable life worth living.

I've heard people criticizing the judge, saying he was being excessively harsh in sentancing. I believe he should be harsh in sentencing. She is a celebrity, and a media icon. There are thousands of little girls around this country who want to talk, act, and be just like her. An example should be made. Whether she asks for it or not she is a role model. And look what she is teaching people. Look what she is teaching my little cousin. That good looks and money will get you off the hook for everything.

She could have killed someone. She drove, DRUNK on a licence that was already suspended for drunk driving, not once, but twice. She expects special treatment, she expects leniency. I say DENY IT. let her see the real real-world. the true simple life. give her a dose of reality that doesn't come with a host.
