In the wake of Bob Hoskins' death, since we all know he was a firm favourite amongst the fans. I would like to know, who should takeover being the new favourite around here? So, who would you like to see as our new movie Penguin?

Still love Ray Winstone for the role.

Jonah Hill would actually make an awesome Penguin. His performance in The Wolf of Wall Street made me into a believer.

I still think John C. Reilly would be an interesting choice too.

Alfred Molina has been my top pick for a while. I'd be down with Winstone or Williams, though. And Wood is an inspired choice.

Dean Norris would actually be a really cool pick.

Never even thought about him tbh, but he has my vote.

In any case, I wouldn't pick him for the Penguin. Unless you're redoing the Danny DeVito version, the Penguin is supposed to be a gentleman criminal, and Pesci is pretty emphatically the opposite of that.

Spall is not a bad choice though.

Ray Winstone by a mile. But some other choices... Joe Pantoliano, Vincent Pastore, Timothy Spall, Eddie Marsan, Andy Serkis, Lee Arenberg, Stephen Graham. Unfortunately three of my top four choices died recently, Bob Hoskins, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and James Gandolfini.

Im gonna go off the road here for a minute but...I think this guy could play a great penguin. It's of course Jason Alexander, George from Seinfeld. Im not talking about a penguin like in the 60s series, a wacky comedic take. I imagine him as a stone cold mob boss. I bet that he would have fun with the role.

Seinfeld was 16 years ago, people need to let that role go. Besides, Jason Alexander is a trained actor, i doubt he'd act like George if he was hired to play The Penguin.
