I hope they keep it top hat and monocle. At the very least keep the monocle. Some may be against this but I do hope they give the actor a bit of prosthetics for their nose. A slight one, nothing too extreme or ridiculous.

I could see him as a phony, petty and irascible little man.

I would have been interested in Josh Gad in the role as I think he could give a pleasantly surprising performance but oh well. They are tons of way better choices out there

Assuming the casting calls are legit, I'm hoping Reeves has some flexibility on the age range. Because I gotta tell ya, I'm having a really hard time finding an actor I like for the role in the 20-40 range not named Jonah Hill.

40 Years old is too early of a cutoff for Penguin... There's no actors I like for the role under 40... My first choice is still Ray Winstone... I also like Mark Sheppard and seeing that manip above makes me more interested in Serkis in the role. I don't see why they would ever cast a Penguin in his 20's, so that age range that is rumored makes no sense.

I really hope they don't screw this casting up, Penguins my second favorite Bat Villain and I don't want another crap DC Villain after having to live through EisenLex and LetoJoker...

Mark Sheppard is an interesting choice. I always liked him on Supernatural. Didn’t he just lose a lot of weight though? Haven’t watched the series in years, but he looked pretty thin last time I saw a picture of him.
