I’ve sadly moved to digital so I’m going to wait for the iTunes/Apple TV release to add the series to my DC Collection on the app but it’s awesome that WBD is still committed to physical releases.

However long this Batman crime saga lasts, I will definitely be buying. Maybe even with a Bat Credit Card.

Not that I care about what Grace thinks, but I do believe that the numbers for the other series are based on Samba data and the penguins was 3.2 million (from Samba) which was still better but the issue I have with all these numbers is that it's never comparing apples to apples.

The main thing comes down to this, if HBO and WB are happy they will either announce another batverse tv series or a second season. It's like with movies announcing the sequel before the first one even comes out, sometimes they do it to try to give it a box office boost when the reality is they will never do a sequel.

Was giving The Watch podcast a go and enjoying it so I started looking for another episode to tune in to and decided to read some episode descriptions of their latest on Penguin and Agatha. It said Penguin was fine but more IP slop while Agatha was the light and camp outing Marvel TV should've been all along.

I will not be revisiting The Watch any time soon.

I've been listening to that pod for a long time and even I was so confused by Andy's statement... but then again he and CR were never a DC comics guy and Andy clearly didn't care for The Batman so it kinda makes sense why they didn't respond to it as well as everyone else. Still a great pod to listen to even though I completely disagree with them on a few things like their take on The Penguin.

She has a bug in the booty when it comes to DC. Claims to be a big Batman fan. I just know that she hates every DC casting. At first I thought it was her issues with James Gunn but now I believe it’s something else after I saw her coverage with another show.

She has to cater to her audience, Snyder Bros.

That makes sense then. I'll probably tune in to some more cause I did enjoy their chemistry but it'll be more pick and choose as opposed to listening to every episode. I do that w The Big PIcture and The Rewatchables too.

She's wildly inconsistent and comes out with some weird takes on not only film and TV properties, but even actors and actresses. Of course, it's her right to hold her opinion, but we also reserve the right to find it ridiculous.

Penguin's twitter account just posted this. Kind of funny they're still using John Turturro's likeness even though he was recast with Mark Strong on the show.

Presumably because, canonically, Mark Strong aged into John Turtorro. It's incredibly obvious Strong is styled to look substantially younger than John even though they're close in age IRL.

Wellllll, I think he still looks younger in the painting than Mark Strong does in the photo.

My guess is that the painting was commissioned before they couldn’t work out John Turturro’s schedule.

Great news for the penguin and HBO. Hopefully the take away from this is that people like Reeves' batman universe and not any DC villain project will work.

I saw one review that called the show a Trump allegory, and I'm like? What the hell, do you actually know what an allegory is?

Honestly, I'm noticing a lot more "critics" and "journalists" for online publications are extraordinarily ignorant and uneducated. IGN published a long article about the changes to the Batman mythos in Caped Crusader and the author wrote a big long section about how Alfred was now an overweight beat cop before taking Bruce in. The author seemed to not know what a chauffeur uniform was.

I seriously haven’t been able to stop thinking about this show. Can’t ****ing wait for ep2.

I’m honestly feeling this show more than Joker 2 (I read some spoilers about Joker 2 that were a real bummer…)

I don’t even care if we get cameos of other DC characters in this. The storytelling is just so strong

I was talking to my friend at work about comic book movies and we came to the conclusion that they are at their best when they’re not fundamentally designed to be part of the superhero genre. The highest quality superhero projects are of various genres that just happen to be comic book themed (The Winter Soldier, Dark Knight, Joker, Penguin).

I’m ready for whatever else Reeves wants to do with the Batman universe. He’s certainly earned my respect.

When I first got aware of her, she seemed to be weirdly hung up on Jessica Chastain for some reason, and none of those rants made any sense to me. Hence why I decided to skip her channel. Her voice didn't help lol.
