we need HIM to appearIt did.
Commissioner Savage refers to the “history” they have with Gordon when he joins him in Mitchell's apartment after his murder. Also, Gordon tells Batman he worked on the Maroni case some ten years before the event of the film.
He's definitely a well-established lieutenant at that point.
That said, I don't think we'll see him appear in The Penguin...
But I suppose we can expect to see more of Kenzie and I seem to remember Mackenzie Bock was set to return (rather awkward to have these two with such similar names btw...).
i'm fine with batman not appearing. considering Matt said they discussed him showing up they must have found it better for the story. i will have issues if he is not in future spin off shows, he gotta be in those.
I do think he'd be there at whatever earthquake type event that is just to try and save who he canI mean, if there is a mob war breaking out, it would be smarter to let each family take one another out before going after the one that comes out on top.
Also, what would batman do exactly, threaten Sofia and take her back to Arkham after being exonerated?
Honestly, I'm happy with the choice of not putting batman on the show. I think his return needs to be on the big screen to have that impact. Would it have been great, sure, but this show is so good that I'm not really thinking about it.

if he's namedropped or/+ there's a batsignal somewhere i'll be okI would be fine with him not showing up, but I do think he should be name dropped. I think it would be too glaring an omission for him to not at least be mentioned while all this violence is happening in the city.
We also don't know where/how this show ends. It could very well lead right to the start of the movie, which could then have Batman showing up to assess the scene and help.I do think he'd be there at whatever earthquake type event that is just to try and save who he can
IGN has been consistently down on the show. The quality of their reviews overall has been quite low in recent years.I was watching a YouTuber give the Penguin a mid season review. The reviewer stated IGN had given the show a 5/10 and were getting roasted in their comments section. IGN claims the last episode hurt the show for them. Interesting enough all I here from reviewers who saw the whole show is that the episodes get better and better then it leads into the Batman 2. I guess someone wants to be different. The show is currently at a 94 on Rotten Tomatoes and a 91 audience score.
They certainly managed to make him look like Penguin, not just from the Arkham games...but in general get the vibe right. He really looks like Penguin from the Arkham Games with this jacket

Yeah. I just read the review. It’s long but you can tell he didn’t like the show idea before he even watched. He kept saying the shoe wants to be the Sapranos and besides the mob family aspect of the show it’s nothing like it. Penguin to me is an original show that is soaked in some realism but still is a comic book show. Arkham and the Hangman murder cover up was very comic bookie to me.They certainly managed to make him look like Penguin, not just from the Arkham games...but in general get the vibe right.
Really fantastic work they did.

Where you can tell they care more about going "Viral" than anything else.
Any kind of integrity they had, has gone down the drain years ago.
