Would you be upset or disaprove if Nolan put his usual composer David Julyan on TDK instead of Zimmer & Newton Howard? I'm not saying this is what I want, but this could happen. There's a strong possibility that the reason he wasn't put on Begins b/c he had never done a big box-office hit b4. Well... now has done the recently released The Descent, and he has the upcoming The Prestige, helmed by Nolan starring Bale, Caine, Hugh Jackman, and Scarlett Johansson (WHOM WOULD SO OWN THE ROLE OF SELINA KYLE!!!!)

David also did Memento and Insomnia... and the scores weren't bad at all... and the clips that I've heard from The Prestige... ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. All his scores have been very dark and would fit Nolan's Bat-verse and TDK perfectly (considering it has been said that this will be even darker than Begins.) Just a thought that popped into my head.

So what would you think IF this did happen? (once again I'm not saying this is what I want, that the Begins score was bad, or that this is going to happen, just saying it could.)

I love Zimmer & Newton Howard soundtrack for Batman Begins. It fit the movie PERFECTLY.

If it's not broke, don't "fix" it.

I know... but the question is would you be upset if they did?

I wouldn't mind David Julyan, but I would prefer for them to stick with Zimmer & Newton Howard

No, not really if he does a good job (which he usually do) and it fits the theme of the movie.

But it would be nice continuity to have the original composers for all the sequels since the set the tone (no pun intended) for the first movie.

By the by, Scarlett Johansson is an amazing looking woman, I can't take my eyes off her when she's on the screen and being interviewed on TV and she one of the few actress out there that actually LOOKS like a woman (she got some serious curves) and not like a 10 year old boy in drag, and at times... a good actress (although 'the Black Dahlia' might have lowered her standing) but to play Sleina Kyle, I don't see it.

She's still a little to young for the part and to be honest, hasn't played anyone 'dark' enough, as an actor to be portrayed as someone with the scars Selina is suposed to have.

I would not mind David Julyan doing TDK since he has after all scored all of Nolan's films (except BB). Having said that i am however very fond of the Newton-Howard/Zimmer partnership and hope they can build on their excellent work on the the first film.

Bringing both of them back might be problematic though since both are so much in demand.

BTW batlovescatDC the title is pretty misleading. I thought it was a qoute from Julyan on TDK.No big deal though.:cwink:

Keep Zimmer and Newton Howard. And duh about Scarlett Johansson looking good.

I'd love Julyan for TDK, I was just listening to the Memento score yesterday. I wasn't a great fan of Zimmers more bombastic contribution, Newton Howard was fine though. Something more subtle and less triumphant is what I want.

I prefer to get continuity and keep Zimmer and Howard. Bombastic and triumphant works just fine, it´s still a superhero movie. But I wouldn´t be upset about Julyan, he´s a fine composer.

I think Zimmers little riff (I think you all know what I'm talking about) should stay. Whether Zimmer stays is another matter. I'd like him to, but all long as they keep some of the themes, I'd be okay with them switiching composers.

:wow:

BTW, Newton Howard and Zimmer should come back, because only they can give us a real music theme

keep the same composer for contunity reasons

if it happened, I could live with it, so long as he kept the same Batman Theme present in the Zimmer/Howard score
