Justice League The Princess Diana/Wonder Woman Thread

Let's get this straight, X-Men is a Fox film franchise. She is contracted with Fox for two more X-Men movies, as well as three HG films. Not Marvel Studios/Disney.

With that out of the way, there is NO WAY Lionsgate and Fox will let her do a WB franchise. There's way too much risk that her schedules will overlap, and they're not going to have it.

its the same thing, different studio maybe, but characters are Marvel, thats what I was referring to.

Jennifer Lawrence is a part of the Fox X-Men Franchise, just like Ryan Reynolds was when he made Green Lantern. That should be a problem.

Ultimately, I want Gemma for Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy, and Jennifer Lawrence as Wonder Woman. But if I can't have Jen Law for WW, I'd go with Gemma, and pick someone else for Gamora.

Make sense?

Jennifer Lawrence however does have a much bigger role than Reynolds did as Deadpool, he was even replaced when he lost his mouth (that was Scott Adkins, not Reynolds) as for Hannibal King....I really really really doubt he's going to be reprising that role :funny:

That aside, cool cool :) wont hear another thing about it from me :)

I think this thread needs a little Daddario right about now:

yea.......I've turned on her :funny: at least for a movie anyway, I still think she'd be great for Diana on a TV Show, I wanted her to show up on Smallville as Diana in season 10 lol

I dunno, I think she could work as Diana in the movies as well.

That's a great manip, but it REALLY shows why I wouldn't want her as Wonder Woman. She looks like a kid, not a confident, regal warrior woman

The manip aside, more recent pics of her make her look more mature because she's actually older. :)

Plus there's always make-up and lighting to enhance the effect.

The Lawrence to Reynolds comparison doesn't work.

Sure it does. At the time Reynolds signed up for GL, they were planning to do a Deadpool solo film starring him, which is far more attention than Lawrence's character is getting at this juncture.

No need to be snarky. It's really starting to get irritating.

The fact is, Reynolds was attached to a Deadpool solo movie. The fact that he was able to make Green Lantern shows that the Fox contracts might not have a no-compete clause.

I wasn't being snarky, I was explaining facts, if thats irritating to you well too bad.

As for the Deadpool solo movie, yeah good luck ever seeing that one, he was attached to it before they made Wolverine: Origins, were what? 3-4 years later and it still hasn't passed the script writing stage.

There is nothing actually stopping actors from doing other movies that are either Marvel or DC based, whats stopping them is the production time. Its 2013, Reynolds hasn't been in a Marvel based movie since 2009 and currently there are no foreseeable plans for him in any of there movies, J-Law was in 2011's First Class and is already getting ready to start filming Days of Future Past and the Hunger Games sequel.

Considering how little he was the Deadpool character, and how big of a bomb Green Lantern was, it is nothing compared to Lawrence's defining supporting role as Mystique and all of her box office successes. Add on the fact she is now tied to two franchises, she just isn't a possibility.

Thank you! That's what I've been saying for a while! :)

I've watched her in 'Percy Jackson' (yes I actually forced myself to watch it) and she wasn't bad in it at all.

Then I saw her in an episode of 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' and she was good in that one too. And just drop dead gorgeous, besides.

She looked amazing in Texas Chainsaw 3D her body is ridiculous

What is her name? I've seen her in multiple but I never get her name.

Sorry Hawk, this is Alexandra Daddario. Like Lobo said, she was most recently in 'Texas Chainsaw 3D'. But don't hold that against her :)

"Defining?" Mystique was a warm body in a movie that was basically a Professor X/ Magneto joint origins film. She obviously was an unknown then, but it's resulted in an awkward imbalance of a major star being tied to a weak supporting role.

As for being in two franchises, Hunger Games ends in 2015. She'll be down to one. Given standard procedure is to sign up for 3 films at a time, she'll be without a franchise by 2016 or so.

Wonder Woman would be a perfect franchise for her to jump into. A starring role vs. a small supporting role. Some place she can make more money than she can in a Silver Linings Playbook or a Winter's Bone.

Oh my gosh, I think I'm in love.:hrt: This lady looks amazing, and she really has the look for Diana / Wonder Woman.

Check her out in 'Texas Chainsaw 3D' (she's the lead) and tell me what you think.

I haven't watched that movie yet.

Good god she has the look
Thats the one right there! Glad more and more of us are finally seeing that she has the "it" factor that we can agree on. She can act, from TV to movies, and is very beautiful.:yay:

Right. And as far as her having the right stuff to play a regal warrior etc which some have brought up, she's actually played a warrior princess/Greek demigoddess (daughter of Athena)! Living amongst regular folk who don't know her secret!

I mean it doesn't get any more specific than that! :D

She looks like a great Wonder Woman. Even better, when they start shooting she'll have aged up a little, fitting the part even better.

mmmmm Daddario in Texas Chainsaw 3D.......more like 3 Double D :funny: only redeeming quality from that movie was Alexandra

Jennifer Lawrence or Gemma Arterton all the way as Diana/WW in the JL film AND hopefully the eventual solo film(s).
