Maybe. But, there's something about this that screams "fan made" to me. Almost as if I've already seen this as a manip somewhere.

Fair enough, I'm just saying some fans are very talented, some to the point of matching what the folks at the studio can do.

And sometimes you get studios that release something that looks so bad that it looks fan made.

Really? The first captain America poster is the coolest poster you ever seen?

They made so many better ones for the same movie alone.
I liked the gritty look of the first one. But he's my favorite hero, so im a bit biased. :p

I hear you. For me, it's the use of seeing the back of Bane, which is used often. And then there's the broken mask... I just really feel that I've seen it before. I don't know how true that is and I don't want to search through the manip thread to find out.

Like those infamous First Class posters. :woot:

Which ones are you guys talking about? Is it the ones with the silhouettes of the older versions of Xavier and Magneto or the first released image of all of the characters?

I kind of had the posters for the final season of Smallville in mind, where they used pics of Welling from season 6 and had a silhouette of Routh in the background or in a reflection. As a big fan of the show, the promotional stuff was crap and I've seen tons of fan made stuff that looked more professional.

I'll keep it in spoiler tags 'cause this is not worthy of this thread. View at your own discretion.

Yikes ... yeeeeaaahhhh, that's bad. I say its a lack of effort and/or skill in that department.

The ones with the silhouettes.

That SV poster was a lazy one too. Most of the their promo stuff is garbage, especially when they became part of The CW.

Yeah, I really hated the lack of effort they put into promoting the show after the CW merger, mainly since they used the same exact pictures or 5 years. Like maybe its because I'm into graphic design and can detect a clear photo manip from a convincing one better than the average person can, but I consider those to be the worst ones because from a professional standpoint, it should look more like a photo than an obvious manipulation.

Like that batman one could be fan-made, but it doesn't look so since its not based on stock images that we've seen before.

Also, it was sad how they'd release actual new pics they took (if they did) well after the season premiered. But, I guess it fits since the show didn't fully fit what the channel was going for, it was their oldest show, and its audience wasn't exactly going to increase/decrease that much anyway.

I don't think those posters looked at all fan-made. I thought they looked like they were made by someone who despised X-Men. :o

Just like the people who were in charge of all that movie's marketing. It's a shock that First Class was so good because the advertising made it look really crappy.

At least the guy with the mustache reminds me of the commish
