Hahahaha. I think it's better that there's breaks between it.

Also as far as The Raid 3 goes;

Bunawar also faked Bowo's death too. I really think part 3 will pick up with Bowo.

I have a quick question, I wasn't a huge fan of the first as I thought it got repetitive as it went on and the final fight was flat out silly. Are the action sequences in this one better paced?

Erm.... well, as far as final fights go....

The climactic battle in this one must go on for about 10 solid minutes, and by the end of it the two guys are literally taking slices out of each other with blades and still fighting as chunks of skin go flying in the air around them. So if ridiculous violence isn't your bag, this might not be for you....

However, while I absolutely loved The Raid, if you prefer steadier pacing, this one is more of a slow-build, with the first two thirds of the movie more of an epic crime story with sporadic AMAZING FIGHT SCENES peppered through, before building to a closing 45 minutes which is just crazy back-to-back AMAZING FIGHT SCENES.

Who's Bowo again?

The OTHER cop who survived in the first one. The one hiding from the machete gang.

Oh yeah. A couple of times during the movie I found myself wondering what happened to him.

10 more days until I watch this bad boy. This wait is killing me!

this comes out in october in germany ...:waa:

cant wait for next year when I move to the UK...

Its really hard not to cheer(then laugh) after the 2nd to the last fight.

That fight was SUCH a crowd pleaser. As great as the last fight was I would argue that the second to last was the superior of the two.

This one is an actual movie with story and character. But the action still gets ridiculous.

Thanks guys, it's not absurd stunts that I have a problem with it's two guys fighting non stop for 10 minutes straight, which sounds like is the case again here.

Yes it is, but because there's a story this time I found it easier to swallow.

The only fight I think they could've cut from this movie was the Prakoso one, actually maybe both of his fights. They weren't necessary but I guess they felt it would've been too long without any action.

The other ones I think all had elements that made them engaging and fun to watch throughout.

Well there's nobody here I'd trust more on action movies than you man, so I'll give it a shot when it opens next week and I just bought the first film for £6.50 to get ready lol.

I wonder if this will get English Dubbed on Home Video like the first one did

Hope my theater has a midnite showing next Thursday. Watched The Raid today. Its one of those films I can always throw on and get into.

I saw a couple people complain it had Bourne like shaky cam and they couldn't tell what was gong on. Doesn't sound like Gareth Evans style to me, any truth in that? There's shaky cam in the first film but you can clearly see what's happening.

Thanks brother. Believe me, there's still a lot of excess and the main character still could've used way more development. The side characters all get more character stuff than him.

Yes, there is shaky cam. No, it doesn't obscure the fights. Yes, it is annoying.

At the start mostly, the car chase is bloody amazing, so is Rama's "Raid" on the bad guys restaurant.

Yeah the car chase looks great in previews. Is that scene part of the climax?

I barely noticed the shakey cam I guess I'll be more aware of it on another viewing. When you consider how many other films use it so poorly Evans seems like an expert in this film.

Car chase was fantastic, showed off the badassery of [BLACKOUT]Eka[/BLACKOUT]. No its not, it occurs right before [BLACKOUT]the raid on the restaurant[/BLACKOUT] which I consider the climax. Well unless you consider the final third of the film the climax.

I'm really jealous of you guys. I got the soundtrack off iTunes. It sounds great.

ITA. And to think that one of them is not a real martial artist.

I didn't have a problem with the 2 vs 1 final fight in the first film. But I have a problem with the final/kitchen fight in this one... too long and looks repetitive.

But other than that... everything was AWESOME. The kitchen fight was the only fight that I felt too long. The others had good pace. (Nothing like the hallway fight in the first one, either.)

[BLACKOUT]Prakoso fight scenes were necessary because he was the catalyst of all the mayhem happened afterwards, imho.[/BLACKOUT]

I didn't notice any shaky cam. Which fight scenes were there?

I love that guy!

[BLACKOUT]I love the part where Eka had this who-can-load-the-gun-faster sort of race with Bejo's guy, and he held the gun with his mouth (his two hands were busy driving the car and other stuff).
I thought that was so cool![/BLACKOUT]

You're feelings about the kitchen fight is exactly how I felt about the 2 vs 1 from the last movie. I thought the kitchen fight had the right amount of escalation and variety to keep it fresh.

Im not exactly sure what his first fight was about, I know it was a job from Bangun but who was it that he killed?

And the 2nd fight where Prakoso was killed was suppose to start a war. But couldn't they have achieved that anyways when Bat Boy and Hammer Girl went on a massacre, such a scene could've served the same purpose. So what I'm saying is the character of Prakoso himself just didn't feel all that necessary, especially when we see scenes of his personal life that just pads the runtime.
