Yeah I’m actually ok with that.

Yeah Headshot was decent. It's a low rent version of the Raid.... and yet it's still better than a lot of rated R action movies today.

I'm bummed there won't be a Raid 3, because I do love the first two movies, but kudos to Evans knowing when to end it. I can definitely respect him for that, especially when its so damn easy for these studios to greenlight sequels nowadays.

So more or less it would be like that deleted gang war scene in Raid 2.

Not going to lie seeing this get bumped I also thought it might have been some news or an announcement for The Raid 3 which got me hyped and while I'm sad to see that wasn't the case Kane just reminded me how awesome Berandal was. I still hope we actually do get a third film one of these days though.

Yeah I remember hearing that and while it sucks I'd honestly be more than fine if they brought in new actors who were also very talented martial artists like Tony Jaa or Tiger Chen.

Donnie Yen would be such an amazing get for this franchise as well, but I don't know if he's be willing to do it considering it would be a very different kind of film for him nowadays. He's come a long way since doing films like SPL: Kill Zone and Flash Point which are probably the most similar to The Raid films.

Nah I think Raid is very much Rama's story. I'm not really interesting in seeing non Rama's story. And I'm fine with it because they told a complete story and it ended on a high note

That's very true actually. Maybe its because I'm just greedy though and really want to see another one of these movies, especially after seeing Gareth Evans work on Gangs of London which is an incredible series btw that more people should definitely be talking about, because the man has still got it IMO.

Honestly I’m fine with leaving it here. The Raid 2 was so ***ing epic anyway and a great way to go out on a high note. In MY opinion this remains the greatest action film ever made.

Both The Raid films are great IMO even if I do slightly prefer Redemption overall. Other than the John Wick films no other modern action franchises has given us that level of incredibly brutal and well choreographed action when it comes to the hand to hand combat sequences.

I'm glad more people are starting to notice though and we are finally getting away from that shaky cam **** that Paul Greengrass was known for after the Bourne films became so popular, because honestly I was getting so tired of it over the past decade, especially in some of the more major studio films.

I would put both films a thousand miles ahead over whatever John Wick movie that they put out these days.

Yeah I'm glad more and more we're pulling away from that. It's still an issue, but at least a lot of times they do that they do it like Greengrass did where it was stylistic (see Extraction of the Highway fight in Winter Soldier).
It became clear a lot of filmmakers did that to skimp on training actors on fight choreography and to just throw stunt people in every frame.

My sentiments exactly. Rama's story ran it's course and had a perfect ending.
