now we need hollywood to start a new trend of expensive R rated action movies .
 
Evans is already being hailed as the greatest action-director of all time.
 
Nice...I wonder if Evens will venture back into horror. He's already made an incredible short horror film for VHS 2.
 
Awesome, so glad to see that this film is getting great reviews. It's hard to imagine that I'll love it more than I loved the first one, but maybe I will. It certainly seems to be a much bigger film. WHY CAN'T THIS MOVIE COME OUT TOMORROW?!!

Some ideas, though, are just too perfect for this finite world and are held back from us to keep our eyeballs from spontaneously traveling down into our sigmoid colons and exploding out of our sphincters; so, if it doesn't happen, consider it a gift from the gods so that you might live.

Anyone have an action sequence they are looking forward to most? I gotta go with the car chase. Everyone is raving about that. And there wasn't any scene like that in the original.
 
Evans said after The Raid 2, he will take a break from martial arts genre. So horror is a possibility, but rumors said that next, he will direct an American heist film starring Scott Adkins, titled "Breaking the Bank" based on true story.
 
I hope he makes something in the meantime, 3 years is a long wait.

Well, "The Night Comes For Us" starring Joe Taslim (Jaka), Yayan Ruhian (Mad Dog) and Julie Estelle (Hammer Girl), is confirmed and currently on pre-production. Though Evans is not the main director, but he will be directing the action scenes.

I'm so glad this is getting raved about. One of my favorite movie going feelings is that of an action film that gives you a physical reaction like that of being on a rollercoaster. Too little action films lack this visceral thrill today. The first film gave me that adrenaline/fist pumping reaction. I don't doubt this one will do the same.
