The remake was better than the original...

Most of the remakes I've seen I've never seen the originals of so I don't feel informed enough to make a decision, only one I've really seen both of is King Kong (actually all three). I definitely prefer the '05 version the most. The '33 version was great for it's time, but the '05 version expands the movie to be more than just a monster movie. I like that Ann sees Kong as more than just a monster and wants to defend it. I like the special effects sure, but I was more impressed with the expanded plot.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The Hills Have Eyes
Dawn Of The Dead

LIES! :cmad:
But JAL, are you feeling all right? I know Kristin Bell is hot, and I prefer her to the Alba, but this is the first time I've ever seen you with someone OTHER than the Alba for your avvy.

I'm feeling fine. beeter then i've ever been.

It's just time for me to move on.

I thought Dawn of the Dead remake was better than the Orginal one but the Orginal is still a classic.

imo the King Kong remake was an hour and a half TOO LONG - - the original was only one and a half hours long for a reason imo; never understood the love for the remake. the 70s remake is better than the new remake.

I've yet to see the Heston version, but the new I Am Legend was waaayyyy better than the 1960's version with Vincent Price. It took all the best parts and upped the intensity.

Cape fear. It had much more suspense in it. Also, casting was better.

Does Evil Dead 2 count? If it counts, then remake was definately better than first one.

evil dead 2 definately counts; as good as evil dead 1 is though - Evil Dead 2 is WAAAAAAY better.
