I'm torn. Part of me loves the original too much to remake. The Other part of me, however, realizes they could have done a story slightly closer to the book and now add even better special effects....

Tell me what you think. I've heard rumors of a possible remake...yay or nay.

why would you even ask this stupid question? the movie is iconic and set the stage for all sci-fi films to come after it. i don't care if they remake it but it's not an important question as the original will always be the better version.

I dunno. I think that this should remain how it is, as there are many iconic movies that could be made today with success (but don't need to). it takes away from what the original was. Some movies just need to stay how they are and not be touched. A Blade Runner remake is NOT necessary, but at the same time, I'd love to see it today and see how it'd be, especially with today's VFX.

I'm torn, too. :csad:

The SFX in the movie really isn't that dated, it's like Star Wars the way they filmed it, outside of hte lightsaber fights, it feels rather authentic rather than this cheap CGI crap we get churned out all the time.

  No! Remake, I don't see why they wouldn't just make a movie of "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep"

Have to agree with the other posters .......... No thanks.

The effects are mostly fine and the film has a dark/neon look that really works.

Nope.

Well to be honest I'm not against a remake if it's got somethign new to bring. I mean if it's goign be like Charlie and the Chocolate factory wehre's it's just a superficial update that looks pretty, **** that. But if it's going take the property in a radically different direction ala The Thing or Fly remakes then go right a head.

Good point well made.

I sometimes forget that there have been some great remakes.

I would like a Blade Runner with more action and naked ****.

No! NO! For the love of all that's good and right, no! So just stop.

Don't even think about it. Not even to yourself, when you're utterly alone.

These ideas must be put down, you monsters.

That's like asking for a remake of Star Wars or The Godfather, it just isn't done.

No, because it would most likely end being another stupid, pointless remake like 99% of them are

No. No! HELL NO!

Harrison Ford, people. Is there honestly a man alive who can replace Harrison Ford? Anyone? Anyone? I didn't think so. It's Harrison f***ing Ford.

Wasn't there already a thread discussing this very idea.
I could've sword it existed

Im pretty much against it unless Nolan and Bale make it...

Always a good team, but I would like this movie to stay untouched. We're getting a special release of it anyway, totally uncut. Not sure when, but it's coming in some sort of Blade Runner box set
