Why do they keep on remaking Body Snatchers?

The first remake actually was better than the original...and that ending was one of the creepest ever. I doubt the upcoming new one will be better....but that's a different thing. Why do they keep remaking this movie? What's this...the 3rd or fourth time in the last 20 years. And the concept itself has been revisited in countless other movies like The faculty, Invaders from Mars....and so on.

So....one thing I had always wanted since the first remake......A SEQUEL!!!! The original and remake end so bleak....Earth is doomed...the aliens have won. Now what do we do now?

The same reason Frankenstein, Dracula & the Wolfman continue to be remade
countless times. With each new retelling of these old stories writers & directors feel that they can bring new aspects & ideas to the original source material to make the new versions more interesting.

They figure name recognition = guaranteed big bucks at the box office.
