Plot: An anniversary trip puts a marriage to the test when a couple finds themselves embroiled in one of Yucatan's most bizarre unsolved mysteries from 15 years prior involving the disappearance of two young adults, a murder and a once in a century hurricane; with everything connected, solving the crime requires unraveling some of life's biggest questions.

Created by Andy Siara. Staring: Cristin Milioti, William Jackson Harper, Luis Gerardo Méndez, Skyler Gisondo

Seems to be flying under the radar right now (imo) but I really what I've watched so far (3 episodes out of the 6 that have aired) It reminds me quite a bit of 'The White Lotus' mixed with 'True Detective' with some comedic elements thrown in (that's as best as I can describe it)

I think I can honestly say this is my favorite new show of 2022 (behind 'Severance')

Just watched the first episode and I liked it.
I think this could be a good 1 season show given the premise, I don't see where it could go after season 1 if they actually wrap things up and it would get old fast if season 1 doesn't wrap things up.

I haven't watched much network TV lately, so I don't know if this a thing now, but when the character swore not only did they bleep it but they also blurred their mouths, which I found rather silly.
After watching Netflix, HBO and Amazon where pretty much anything goes watching regular network TV seems especially tame.

The shows creator was on Reddit yesterday and he said there will be answers at the end of the season but does have more planned out should NBC Peacock want to continue, so If this does wrap up in S1 it's going to be one of most depressing seasons of television
(by giving the audience some hope that the teenagers are sill alive only to discover their bodies at the end of the seasons)

Just watched the final episode, and I can honestly say that was one of the most incredible beautiful yet poignant finals I've seen in a long time. I hope it gets renewed for S2 however I think I would also be satisfied if they left it as it is, as it also works incredibly well as a 'limited series' too.

Also kind of glad that some of the wild theories didn't turn out to be true

Aka Michael Shur casting choices stumble on a mystery, jinkies!

I’m not caught all the way up on this but I’m really enjoying this show. I kinda love Cristin Milioti in everything. She was amazing in guest appearances in Black Mirror and Mythic Quest. I’ve been meaning to get back to Made for Love but Billy Magnussen is annoying as hell. Anyway, I was thinking Cristin would be a great pick for Lois Lane and this show confirmed that for me. On that note, Skyler Gisondo would make a great Jimmy Olsen. William Jackson Harper is also great in this and it’s good to seem him in a lead role again.

Not sure if I just expected more since this was from the guy who created Mr. Robot, but that finale was bad. It’s as if LOST hyped up the mystery the entire time only to end with: “haha jokes on you! Thanks for waiting to get answers for questions that don’t matter.”

So it IS like Lost. :o

While the finale didn't give us a lot of answers, I still really enjoyed this overall. Cristin Milioti is just fantastic in this and while I haven't seen in her in many things, I also remember thinking she was pretty great in Palm Springs too and now I'm going to have to make sure I watch more stuff with her in it.

Luis Gerardo Mendez and William Jackson Harper were great too and I swear I never get tired of seeing Nick Offerman just randomly pop up in things because I had no idea, he was in this.

Not really from the guy who created Mr. Robot ,Sam Esmail was just an executive producer. The show was created by Andy Siara (who did Palm Springs, which was more in line with what this show is)
