The Return of Hush

Yes, everyone on here guessed it too. Then immediatly said "no, there's now way they'd do that..." and threw out crazy guesses. There was a poll here on the hype when the storyline was going along and Elliot only had about 10 votes. And while I'll definetily give you that Loeb has gone completely mad since the Supergirl arc of Batman/Superman, his older stuff, like TLH and DV were great. And while Hush wasn't on the same level as those, it was still very good.

EDIT: Here's another fun fact- We still don't know for sure if Tommy was Hush. The Gotham Knights arc is no longer in continuity it would seem, and we never once saw him out of the bandages. Sure, he threw out some things that Tommy would have known, but that and the lack of a corpse is the only evidence we have towards Hush being Tommy Elliot.
So whys Hush Returns not in continuity anymore???

Yes, it did.

Joker having a secret room were he broods over pictures of his dead wife. The Riddler being a witness to the murder of Joker's wife. Joker has apparently been trying to get this info out of Riddler for years. Joker and Penguin having a heart to heart in front of a warm fire place. Hush beating the crap out of Joker for control of Gotham.

BLEH!

never read hush returns, heard it sucked but i download it anyways

Heart of Hush was really good.
I loved the whole Aristotle/Aesop thing that was going on. And how Hush is carving his own face in.

Everything, that has to do with Hush after "Hush" sucks.

Ok, so this new Hush story is more of a canon story to follow the first Hush story since people are saying that Hush Returns is now not canon...is that correct?

Which one was 847? I know I have it but I'm not sure which issue that was.

Hell of an issue, I think Dini is actually getting better on Detective, as hard as that is to believe. Zatanna and Selina playing cards in a back alley (!) and talking about their issues with Bruce, that was sublime. Linking Dr.Crane to Hush is a nice move and even Hush is a huge improvement on last issue; he might actually be worth saving after all.

I also like the linking to RIP, it's only the merest detail but you get the sense that Hush will become more closely involved with RIP as the arc does on, And more importantly the Robins too, Dini is signaling the critical roles they'll play

Question, does Nightwing's car have a name? didn't know he had a Nightwing car :funny:

Everything, that has to do with Hush after "Hush" sucks.

^ that is the true. Fortunately we can now can go directly from Loebs Hush to Dini's Hush.

I LOVE this storyline so far.

I have to admit....I heard that Dini was writing a new Hush story, and I was like "f***! DINI! STOP IT!"

I mean....he has an army of zombie doctors?!? WHAT?!?!

......but I should never have doubted him. This last issue was AWESOME, classic Dini, and I love it. I want more. now.

I still can't swallow the zombie army quite yet... I'm hoping it picks up with the next issue.

Well I'm okay with it now, simply because of the addition of the Scarecrow. As long as there is a "logical" reason for it, then I'm all in.

Just picked up 847. Haven't read it yet though but looks great.

Heart of Hush is really good series. I don't get that many comics in single issues, but after readin the first issue (which I borrowed from my lil cousin cause I got for him as a gift) I went back and got the first 2 issues of the Heart of Hush story. and i'm actually thinkin that Batman: Detective Comics with Dini is good and thinkin bout goin back and gettin back copies of it.

I really like what Dini is doing with Tommy Elliot by expanding on the character's psyche and motivations. I truly hope that Bruce outsmarts him in the end though.

And Ngyuen's art is amazing, although he seems to falter in his renderings of Selina and Zatanna.

I finally got around to reading the new issue and it's great. Can't wait to see
batman face off against scarecrow next month

I like how they tied Elliot with the Doctor Crane character, if it was a tad predictable.

I felt the same way until I read this Dini arc. It's actually very good.

You know Dini is the salvation of modern Batman. I've become a devotee after Detective and Death and the City.

i picked up the last two issues yesturday. thought they were really good. i had a question, when did Dini's run on Detective Comics begin? (cause I'm thinkin of pickin up all the back-issues that Dini wrote, cause he's awesome at what he does)
