Apparently The Dark Knight is still filming in the Battersea Power Station after last week’s shocking explosion. Here’s an update posted on SpoilerTV:

On the evening of Sunday 21st Oct a couple of dark blue SWAT vans with ‘City of Gotham Police Dept.’ written on the sides were parked on the site, and a dark blue helicopter (didn’t see any insignia) was flying low near the power station. This morning (Monday 22nd Oct) as I passed the area on the train again, the two SWAT vans were still in the same place, but a long white tent had now been erected nearby and there were quite a few cars on the site, so I guess some filming must have taken place at some point during the day as well.

Meanwhile, a German website Kino.de has a very good article about The Dark Knight. The site is in German, after I translate it with Yahoo here’s what I got:
  • Batman will go to Hongkong for some kind of “gangster hunting”, but the producer Chuck Roven won’t tell us why Batman travels to Hongkong.
  • The IMAX preview with I Am Legend is the first five minutes of the film.
  • “The whole thing is not ‘Joker Begins’, because we did not tell how the Joker became what he is”, says director Christopher Nolan. “During these five minutes it is shown how the joker of the small crook becomes the most-dreaded gangster of the city - it is more of a “The Rise of the Joker”
  • Batman’s new mask will have white lenses on the eyes when he turn on the Bat-sonar detection.

HOLY SH**

Batman’s new mask will have white lenses on the eyes when he turn on the Bat-sonar detection.

Didn't they do the same thing with the eyes at the end of Batman Forever when Kilmer and O'Donnell don the 'sonar suits'?

yeah, but it wasnt for sonar, i'm pretty sure it was just so he wasnt blinded or something. whatever it was for, they didnt explain it like everything else in that movie.

regardless, i think its awesome. it'll be a nice bizarre visual device that will counter just how technological Batman looks and play up the "inhuman" quality more

wow. this sounds really cool. nice find brucewayne =D

aaah, thats it, he switches it on before he throws the batarang at the mind-control thing... I always assumed it was to help his aim for the throw, but like you said they never explained the damn thing.

Holy ****.

I...wow.

Oh, I'm waiting for 2-3 people now who will comment on how TDK is dangerously close to BF.

of course. two-face, sonar eyes, AND a newer more technological looking suit?
I'm waiting for the spoilers regarding Bat Nipples.

I'd have understood all these critiques had Schumacher done Batman Returns and then BF, which would mean he'd drastically changed his style. Do people really expect Eckhart to utter this:

GORDON
Harvey... what happened to you?

TWO-FACE
Well, it's simple, really: DOO-DAH LUCK!

"Luck! Blind, stupid, simple, doo-dah, clueless luck!"

All from memory baby.

i bet it's legit. for some reason foreign sites have been getting more news lately. besides, this site couldn't claim to quote nolan. that's illegal. so they wouldn't post it, if he didn't say it. i expect BOF to pick it up by tomorrow

they could've easily gotten some other guy named chris nolan to read a script.. it's called "legal loophole", folks.

All sounds great to me. Even the lenses which, I admit, have scoffed at. But as I read that line, I got a cool visual in my head of Batman, in the dark, and turning his head as a greenish-white, horizontal line goes down over his eyes.

It'll basically be like those wierd binoculars he had in Begins that he gave to Narrows kid, but actually in his mask.

yeah and i'm sure it's supposed to be a nod to the white lenses of the comics

Exactly. I was indifferent to the idea, but a nod is always cool, if the above is true.
And I guess we have our answer to what the IMAX prologue will be.

the idea of the imax footage being the first 5 minutes makes sense enough. i've said before that several movies have some similar things. dawn of the dead played it's first 5 minutes on tv. running scared offered its entire opening scene on its website, and i'm sure there are other examples of this. my only question is whether or not there will be the actual joker reveal in the footage, or if it will cut just before we see his face. i hope we get to see what he looks like, but either way it should give everyone a good indication of how heath portrays the joker. ^_^ i can't wait. this is gonna be the sh-t. he said he would see us in december.
