Are you living with an individual that has made a positive impact with your life, or a person that makes you want to rip your hair out. I just had a bad experience with mine so it inspired me to create this thread.

I wouldn't mind living with my little brother. We're both pretty clean and we're a lot alike. I'm 21 and he's 19, so it'd probably be a lot of fun.

I was a live in land lady for almost 8 years and prior lived in a group house and lived with a boyfriend for a few years. I hope to never ever have to go through that again. Mind you I've stayed in many a hostel and not had the problems you would think you'd inquire.

I started college this year. My first room mate scared the hell out of me or annoyed me more than any other person on the planet. But I moved out and now I live with two friends I made since going to college, and now it's all good.

my brother just moved out of our parent's house this week. He's 35. I'm 21.

It's about friggin time. we got along, but we still got in lil fights like siblings do. but c'mon, 35 yrs old? he's moved out before, but he always moved back in, and he's been back at least 5-7 yrs since the last move.

I use to think living with women would be fine, however I have had friends that have done so and said its horrible. I didn't believe it until I tried it myself, NEVER AGAIN . All I got was attitude, to much noise, theft, oh and the mess........ God she was messy, I was the only one that did house work.

my last roommates where great. my best friend and his gf. no real problems, just usual junk... "man, this house always smells like weed", "man, this house always smells like tabacco", "i don't like it when you play with that machete like that", "wake me up at 3am when i've been puking all day and then tell me you have NO beer!!! *doorslam*"

my freshman year in university there were no guys from my high school going to mine, so I had to do potluck. ended up with a guy from alaska. the summer before I started, and before I even met him, he sent me a huge dead fish to eat. wow what a first impression, yah?

so I'm thinking.. it's just a stereotype, that he'd like it really cold. no... the man would open the window all the way and turn on the box fan in the middle of winter when it was snowing outside. on several nights I woke up and the engineers that were still up studying thought I was on crack cause I would just be shaking with warm water in the bathroom at 3am.

the next year I lived with my friend dave, and he started seeing this girl terri. they could not leave each others sides, so I started referring to them as daveandterri ... one singular entity. she'd be in our room even if he wasn't there, and wouldn't leave the room when I got out of the shower and needed to change. they got pissed when I said the following year I didn't want to live in an apartment with them.

I lived alone for a year and oh my god did I love it. I live alone now and I'm so happy. last year I had two female roommates and they were great, I had so much fun with them.

I think its rather sad that people have to board with each other just to have a place to live.Just plan carefully and you can live in a single apartment,it may be small,but its your own and no one elses.

Had one for about a year in college, and will never have one again. I had to live my entire young life with parents and a sister, and I don't get that alone time with a roommate. I need those moments to just chill without any other people around.

I had a roomate once, while I was in hospital. I turned into a huge pissing contest over who had the most machinery around her bed. She won in the end- had an eppileptic fit and they moved a whole load more stuff in. Then I got better and got moved onto a general ward.

Only otehr roomate I've ever had is my Stef. Whole too much to tell there...

My god yes. I've never had any luck with female room mates. I had a close friend from 6th grade and her undisciplined daughter,totally didn't understand how to use kitchen equipment. She sucked,still does.
My aunt,who I picked up off the street with her **** in the street cause she pissed off her other room mate,to live with me. Totally disrespected my house and me.
Rented out to some other girls,one was wacky as hell the other went through stuff needlessly,that includes going through one of the guys porn stash and relocating it 2 floors down. WTF.

When she moved out her mother came over to help, but she also had a huge go at me saying "I" was the messy one. I was like ".......the hell? I was the only one that did any house work here, not once has she done the dishes, hell I even washed her TV for her" The mother just went "well then" and walked off. Like I'm going to take that s**t.
