I don't think we have gotten official word as to how long this movie will be as I am sure they are still editing the film.

What would you think the run time for this movie should be? How long do you think it will be? I just hope it is at or near the 2 hour mark. I don't think they will go over 2 hours but I don't want a 90 minute flick like X3 was:o But with Fox, you know they will muck with the run time to get more showings in.

Three hours would be way too long. No movie needs to be over three hours unless it starts with Citizen and ends with Kane. Just because comic books run over their length their movies don't need to.

2 hours and about 10 minutes would be fine, because well...Cars was about that length. Are you saying Lightning McQueen is more full of depth than Wolverine?

Yea I'm very much worried about this too. Of all the big studios, Fox tends to "muck" around with their films the most, not the least of which is the film's title, and the running times (shortening run times for maximum playability, without regard for downgrade in quality).

Another thing Fox might do is target 90 min and then beef up the DVD with Director's Cut. I hope they just give is the full thing. I agree that Fox tends to meddle.

They need only look at TDK's running time. That did not stop anyone from buying a ticket.

:funny: With Fox?

You'll be lucky if you get an hour and forty-five...

Don't forget how you guys were seriously let down in so many ways by X-Men 3...and virtually every other Fox genre product of the last few years...

Trim about an hour from that and your good... I'll give Fox the benefit of the doubt... 1 Hour 52 Min... world record for them.

Seeing as it's Fox it'll be lucky to be 2 Hours. It should -- in my opinion -- of course be around 2 and a half.

fox CAN redeem themselves.

let's not forget Jackman's got pull on this one unlike X3, so that might get us a longer film.

The Trailer alone suggests this is a MUCH darker movie than X3 that CANNOT target young audiences the way fox was doing in 2006.

kids wont respond well to "I'm coming for blood. No code of conduct. No law."

Apparently, you know nothing of children. Or.. at least, you forgot what it was like to be a child.

Kids love blood. Kids love violence.

Now.. marketing it to their parents... you have a point. Still; this is a Wolverine movie. I think they just expect kids to go, and I think parents just expect to take their kids anyway.

It's the Dark Knight effect: Now all movies will be dark and long. :woot:

I think this movie should between 2 and 2 and a half hours long. They have a lot of ground to cover and a lot of characters in it. They shouldn't make the mistake of cramming it all in 68 minutes like they did with X-3.

There was a thread very similar to this that was closed for whatever reason.

To answer the original question, I'm guessing this will come in at 110 minutes.

As long as it gives Gambit a decent amount of screen time, I don't care.

You are too negative. Just because X3 had a short running time, doesn't mean that Wolverine will have one too. Let's be optimistic! :woot:

i hope it's at least 2 hours, and has plenty of screen time for the other characters like gambit and deadpool.

Don't expect much outta those two.

But expect lots of Sabretooth. REAL Sabretooth.

Deadpool looks like a big part of the Plot. Gambit... not so much.

Honestly, not really.

He's just one of the members of Team X that goes from working with Wolverine to gunning for him. Plus his transformation which I doubt will be any more than just one more scene apart from the scene in Africa where he looks normal.

Reynolds was only on the set for a few weeks, same as Monaghan and the rest of Team X.

I was going to say, that sounds exactly like something kids would go for.

How did X2 get over 2 hours and not X3? And besides Hugh, shouldn't an Academy award winning director have any say in running time also?

Haha. Luck? I'm hopeful the movie is an appropriate length in which to properly tell its story. I would be surprised if the movie is allowed to exceed X2's running time, but you never know.
