How long you'd like First Class to be?

Previous movies:

X1: 1 hour 44 min
X2: 2:13
X3: 1:44
XO: Wolverine: 1:47

And then: what do you think Fox will do?

No coinkidink that X2 was by far the best X-Men movie if not Marvel movie.

I'd say just a bit over 2 hours myself. X2 was the best of the trilogy and had a great pace. I'd like for FC to have a similar feel.

120-130
It should be longer than the previous 2 films.

It really needs to be at least 2 hours not counting credits.X2 Is only film 2 hours long
not counting credits.

X-Men and the last Stand are really only a little more than 1 and a half films If you ignore credits.Wolverine Is only one with opening credits.

Now If First Class has opening credits then a nice comprose could be 1 hour and 48-50
minutes and end credits.

If Fox really wants this movie to bring back the glorious days of X2 then they should consider good movie with great pace.

If they want to cash in and keep rebooting the series then just go with X3 or XOW quality !

I'd be very surprised if it's more than 100-110 minutes...

Save the 130 min for the director's cut DVD. ;)

I really hope its a two hour movie, at least.

If not, Ill be pissed.

X2, Ironman and many many more had more than two hours.

Its not a coincidence that the worst movies from the x-franchise had the lowest lenght, except X1 (the introduction movie)

In case anyone's interested:

Layer Cake: 105 minutes
Stardust: 127 minutes
Kick-Ass: 117 minutes

Yeah, I'm hoping for about 120 minutes as well.

I'd be happy with 135mins (2hr 15mins). It all depends on the pacing/structure, but I'm sure none of us wants ADD editing again...:cwink:

Id be very happy with 150.

more minutes of X-men, more happy I am. :woot:

But I really doubt we'll get that long.

Can we agree that if the run time is short this movie is most likely not going to be good?

Yes. More times than not, a shorter movie around 100 minutes is usually bad. Credits and intro take up a lot of time and the movie ends up being 90-something minutes. People can try to rationalize that maybe they made a great story for 90 minutes but that is doubtful. However, not all movie over 2 hours are great either. But as a general rule of thumb, if the movie is around 100 minutes then it will probably suck. X1 wasn't terrible but it was pretty short and it still needed more in my opinion and X2 delivered that.

Looking at Matthew Vaughn's track record, I doubt the movie will be under 120 minutes..

I'd like it to be around 2:15 but I have a feeling it won't hit over 2:00.

This movie is testing the water. it will probably run for the same amount of time the first x-men movie did...

First Class 2 - or sequel or whever will probably be even more epic and along the lines in size wize to x2.
