A Legendary Era

Most of these matches are available on other dvd sets, but I'll probably pick it up anyway.

Ross has posted a new blog over at JRsBarBQ.com, and the following are his thoughts on companies not encouraging talent to speak up for themselves:
If any wrestling company fosters a backstage environment that does not encourage their talents to speak up and get more involved in their careers from a presentation and creative standpoint, that company is asking for hard times. In ring participants like to perform and to create or they wouldn't be in the biz. If one is a performer then they likely have an above average abundance of creativity. Any show business entity that stifles creativity from their performers is myopic.

Talents cannot be afraid to speak up but unfortunately because of the shrinking number of places a talent can work and earn a decent living the "don't rock the boat" philosophy seems to permeate the wrestling business.

That's not healthy for anyone involved.

So true on all points.

I call BS - at this point, I don't think there's any ONE person who could be a "difference-maker" in selling tickets & PPVs. This notion that one person has to be "the guy" is so maddening because the business has changed so much, yet they still think the way they did in the 80s and 90s. Even during the boom periods, you could make the argument that the "top guy" was only as good as the players around him. And in today's WWE, the "other guys" aren't given enough consistent booking to move the needle anyway. They perpetuate all this nonsense and it's frustrating to see that decision-makers don't move along with the times.

It's honestly the WWE logic. They won't push a guy that the fans demand to the moon. Then they use an excuse like that to fall back on when things don't go right. It's ludicrous.

Listening to Stone Cold podcasts and man....He's one of the funniest guys on the planet. Especially when he's telling his family stories.

Is it known how the wwe network will work on video game consoles?,It'll be be on Playstation and Xbox but will there be a special app for it or what?!

I'm listening to Jericho and Chavo talk about Benoit.

Probably just adding the app to ur PS3 Xbox 360 and PS4. If you have a account all you have to do is type ur user name and password and it takes you right to it kind of like Netflix HulU amazon Prime.

What's the link to Jericho's podcasts?

Having Jericho work with Fandago last year was a waste seeing as Fandago didn't even become much of a midcard fixture.

Being the huge Jerichoholic that I still am, my biggest annoyance with his loss at WM was it was from a poorly done roll up. That could of been a good opportunity to have Fandango win strongly hitting his finisher for a clean win, instead of a lame stolen win like it was on Raw.

They talk about Regals reaction on the Benoit tribute Raw and I've said for years Regals reaction was different from everyone else. I don't know if he knew something but at the time it was really strange.

I remember us talking about it here, thinking how Regals reaction was a little off compared to the other tributes that were coming in, as if he somehow knew before hand.

Listening to Stone Cold's latest podcast then will hear Jericho's,One of these two should host the new wrestling talk show on the wwe network,I'm hoping the show will be like a modern version of the one Vince did in the 80's..except out of character

Agreed. Even when he had the title, they still treated him like he was second best behind Cena. That is their fault, not Punk's.

JR speaking the truth yet again. Part of the problem in recent days has been that talent has little to no say in their characters, and it's still part of the higher ups "Our way or the highway" approach which has caused nothing but headaches and annoyances to the talents and fans that the execs do nothing but ignore.

During the match at Tuesday’s tapings in Ontario, California, Rey landed bad and quickly went out to the floor and laid down beside the steel steps. Rey pulled one of his pant legs up and removed the large knee brace that he wears, clearly in pain.

According to PWTorch, Roman Reigns is extremely well-liked backstage within WWE, and is said to have a very positive attitude. Apparently, many WWE Superstars would not mind putting him over, and see him as a big part of the company's future. Speaking of which, we recently listed Reigns at #1 in our "WWE Superstars of the Future" top ten list of the week.

While Reigns is very much still a part of The Shield's faction, and will be competing alongside his team at the Elimination Chamber PPV, it is expected that he will break away as a top babyface sooner, rather than later.

I knew Rey would be injured yet again within less than a year,Awesome about Roman

It's good to see that Roman Reigns isn't a Batista-lite. Honestly, in a few years, the Shield can honestly go down as one of the best stables in wrestling history. They all can be something big, specifically Ambrose as a heel.

And Rey Mysterio needs to hang it up. He's done.

Time for Rey to hang it up or be a special attraction/part timer. His body's broken down. I know Christians been hurt a lot lately but it seems like most of the last five years Rey's been on the shelf.

Oh yeah and I think Lillian Garcia is an immortal or something.

A few years from now there could be a Shield reunion at least for one big match and could be seen as a big deal

Not surprising because of who his father is and the fact that he has three cousins currently in the WWE (Tamina and the Usos) and a lot more that have at one point been involved with the WWE, including The Rock, Rikishi, Umaga, Yokozuna and The Headshrinkers.

It seems like the only Samoan wrestler who isn't related is Sonny Siaki.
