Has there been any word as to whether or not the film score will have an orchestrated version of the TF theme song? Obviously we've heard the Mutemath version, but that will likely only appear in the credits or during an action sequence minus vocals. I'd really love to hear an orchestrated version of the TF theme.

It's likely.

There's a variation of it on one of the recent trailers.

It's hard to tell at first, but once you're listening for it, it's unmistakable.

It's during the part where they say "We're facing an alien blahblahblah.." with the air craft carriers that cuts to Starscream transforming.

According to soundtrack.net

"There are six major themes within the score, which runs approximately 90-minutes in length. While the classic "Transfomers" theme song doesn't figure into the score (as of this writing, at least), Jablonsky indicated that he did work on a new version of it, which could possibly appear over the end credits or on the song soundtrack album. The thematic motif heard in the original teaser music from last fall (which Jablonsky scored) is also woven into the score. The recently released theatrical trailer does feature original music written by Jablonsky, but intentionally has no relation to the score for the film. Additionally, Jablonsky wrote the music for the upcoming computer game tie-in, which will be released by Activision on June 19th."

"Transformers will hit theaters on July 4, 2007. A song soundtrack will be released by Warner Brothers Records on June 26, 2007, and a score album is in the works."

Since we all know the movie release has been changed to July 3rd and since today is June 26th and I don't find a soundtrack anywhere I will go with Amazon's stated release date of July 3rd for the soundtrack.

Just saw the movie.

the cartoon theme isn't in the score or even over the end credits. however, one of the themes in the movie sounds like its straight from Batman Begins.

That is so true.
The themes sounds very similar to Batman Begins and 300

..adressing your spoiler; is that good or bad?

Bad I guess. I would have liked to have heard the theme woven into the movie. And hearing the Batman-esque music took me out of the film a bit. But it was till an awesome movie
