Clone Wars The Season 5 Discussion Thread

I'd like to see Ahsoka in her time away from the Jedi next season, her travels of discovery could take her all over the Galaxy......

I'm wondering if she'll still help out with the war effort in some way.

Myself...either want to see her romance Lux :hrt: or maybe become Asajj's bounty hunter protege...

...with no War involvement, it would diminish how she left the order.

Again, there are so many things they can do with her now, I just hope she survives Order 66---I do hope at the end of the series though, we maybe get a jump forward in the timeline and see her duel Vader.

Ian was so great as Palps,it's gonna take some time for me to get used to Curry.:csad:

Hey, that's a cool idea!

I don't mind if Clone Wars is gone, as long as it's replaced by another show from the same team. Getting the OT cast in to do voices for a new show that bridges ROTJ and Episode 7 would be pretty amazing.
There's no way they would do it - plus Mark and Carrie sound much older than they used to.

EDIT: I mean no way the cast would voice it. I would love the series to happen.

After the Clone Wars is over...

I wouldn't mind some direct to dvd animated films...DC and Marvel have done some excellent (and some not so excellent...looking at you Marvel) work in recent years.........

Mainly, I think with animated films, they wouldn't have to stick to time periods each film. They could adapt Shadows of the Empire, then move to KOTOR/TOR territory, maybe the NJO and Legacy Eras...and so on...

...maybe its just me, but I hope future animation if any, would also be animated like The Old Republic trailers.

...also is that Detours show still happening? I was kinda torn/undecided on it.

That's true. I guess it wouldn't be too difficult to find people who can do a decent impression. They probably have voice actors on staff who can pull it off. Heck, the guy who voices the clones sounds nothing like Temuera Morrison.

Sounded pretty close enough for me. boba's original voice was the coolest, but I actually have no problem with Temuera re-dubbing them. I've been playing so much Boba Fett pinball that I'm used to it now.

Well if she left the order, she should technically survive it. Which makes me wonder if we'll see her in her own show or if they'll follow her along in her adventures in CW hmm. Is this the ultimate fate of Ahsoka, or will we see what else happens with her?

Wait, it's NOT Temuera Morrison!?

The first time I heard the clones speak (in the Clone Wars movie) I said to my friend "It sounds like an American trying to do Temuera Morrison". When I got home from the cinema I looked it up and, lo and behold, the voice actor (Dee Bradley Baker) is from Indiana.

As it stands I've gotten so used to Baker's version of how the clones speak it doesn't bother me at all. Luke, Leia and Han's voices are obviously a lot more iconic than Boba Fett's so the audience are probably going to be more critical. Regardless, I'm sure people would get used to a new/similar Luke/Leia/Han voice fairly quick, just like I did with the clones.

Incidentally, I had the good fortune to catch Dee Bradley Baker at the Clone Wars panel at SDCC back in 2010 along with Dave Filoni and a couple of other voice actors. It was a lot of fun, especially when they'd to a back and forth with each other in the voices of their characters.

You own a Boba Fett pinball machine? :D

I think we'll definitely see more of Ahsoka next season in the CW, she has too big of a fanbase amongst the shows core audience to let that be it. I also think this probably means those baying for her death will thankfully be DENIED! :oldrazz:

Yeah, I've never weighed in on the issue for the simple fact that wanting/predicting the character's death is so far fetched it's not even worth discussing. Ahsoka has a huge fan base, as you say, and based off interviews and the general treatment of her character it's obvious the people behind the show love her. Not to mention, death is such a boring way to end her story.

I would not be surprised to see her in her own series eventually.
Leaving the Jedi Order allows her to live.

She is young enough (16..17??) that they could even eventually skip ahead in time, could even meet Luke at some point.

I hear ya. While death was obviously one of her possible fates, so was leaving the order. I honestly thought they would have her fall in love with that kid (Lux is it?) but i guess it might not be too late for that, who knows. Could we see her teaming up with Ventress even? hmm

Ahsoka has been the breakout character for the show, I'm sure there are plans to spin her off into other mediums and follow her into her older years, I think there's potential for a book that focuses on Vader and Ahsoka crossing paths years after ROTS.

I think he means that new pinball game released by Zen Studios.

Ah I see.

Ahsoka taking up bounty hunting with a fellow Force wielding lost soul would be interesting, especially seeing the interesting affect on each other they'd have.

I'm not sure how to do website links but IGN has a interview with David Filoni explaining they removed an arc featuring Anakin, Padme, Clovis, & Embo (which was featured in the trailers) but was switched out with the young jedi arc.

Basically it came down to the amount/number of episodes it sounds like. Can't wait to see it next season>.

lets hope we get another season, i've heard rumors they may move it to Disney XD or just throw it off the air.

Absolutely. In a way I almost feel like Anakin becoming Vader is more tragic for the Ahsoka/Anakin relationship than it is for the Obi Wan/Anakin relationship. While Obi Wan and Anakin have known each other a lot longer and fought together far more often, I kind of think Anakin and Ahsoka seem closer in a 'kindred spirit' kind of way.

Aah nice to know where does went at least.

Maybe they could release it as an extra on the DVD/Blu release for the season?

I don't see Ahsoka going dark side...but she'll be riding the line for sure. I DON'T think she'll ever return to the Jedi Order though. Which leads me to believe she will survive Order 66.

How awesome would it be to see a series with her surviving in the Empire era.
