You know who I always wished they brought back?

Homer's half-brother Herb Powell (voiced by Danny Devito)

He's one of my favorite characters.

Can you imagine if they made him a villain in the movie? Not SUPERBAD ala Mr. Burns but like him who's thinking, $$$.

Oh man...that would be interesting.

I can't wait for this movie.

I hope we get a lot of cameos from people on the shows past. I really wish with the presmission of Phil Hartman's family, they'd use some old clips and have him in the movie tastefully. It would bring a smile on my face, cause you know if he was still here he'd soooo be in this movie.

sooooo anyone think maggie is gonna say something? (sorry if its been discussed)

I say there's a chance she will but they may be saving that for the last episode.

So far all i've been seeing is slapstick, which isn't what makes The Simpsons funny.

Hopefully it's just poor advertising.

Commercials for movies always showcase slapstick and action scenes. That's just how the marketing is set up. They know older people will see this, but they want the kid audience as well, who will be dragging their parents.

Yeah, I know. It's just the newer Simpsons episodes (which I despise) contain so much slapstick. I don't want the movie to be similar.

Actually, now that I think about it, Maggie has already spoken twice on the Simpsons... other than her saying "daddy", she also said "daddily doodily" in the episode where the Flanders adopt Bart, Lisa, and Maggie.

Maybe she'll finally say a full sentence.

And now The Dark Knight teaser will show in front of The Simpsons Movie. This is great.

July 27th will be the greatest day in the history of mankind.

You may be right. I think I might cry. I was excited enough for the Simpsons, but now we get a Dark Knight teaser. God must love us, if you believe in that sort of thing.

I was on the fence to see the film in the theatres, but now its an opening weekend type thing. But why didn't WB put the teaser with Harry Potter? Is the two weeks going to make a difference? They're just boosting Fox's opening weekend gross.
